Hey everyone, I noticed a pretty glaring brand new multilayer glitch in my very first multilayer game after this new patch hit. So I figured I’d start this thread so that people can list new bugs they’ve encountered, and/or provide feedback regarding glitches that were claimed to be fixed by this update and are simply still there.
So, the gigantic glitch that I encountered (which I’m surprised nobody else has posted yet) is regarding resource generation buildings and their upgrades.
I found that every single time I upgraded my resource generation buildings (any and all of them), the upgrade would appear to research as normal, but upon completion the building still showed up as un-upgraded. And if I click on that building, it still shows up as un-upgraded, and with no option to research it’s upgrade.
As far as I can tell, the upgrade effect (quicker resource generation) is still occurring, but the visual change in the name and appearance of these buildings is no longer taking effect. Furthermore, at one point one of my upgraded buildings showed up as it’s upgraded version, only to visually revert back to its base state after cycling to my units and then back to my base.
I don’t know what other new issues have been spawned from this patch, but this one is pretty darn significant, and occurred in my very first game post-update. Let’s hope that’s the only one…
I can confirm this was happening in my game on the xbox.
I kept having to select the building to check if it was actually upgraded or not.
Visual change is occurring, just name change isn’t. Playing Banished it is fairly easy to see its upgraded as it changes the whole look, UNSC ones never changed much visually to begin with
Another bug I found was a small freeze. It resumes after a few seconds but it isn’t that big of a deal!

Can confirm a gltich, maybe a hack already. But a guy was playing cutter and his units were unable to see my cloaked base but he could throw grenade and use every “Y” ability to hit my base…And his bases also wouldn’t take damage for a good 2min of level 3 banshees at max capacity hitting his base. Also surviving an eradication with no indication of any damage. This is a problem.

I’m 95% confident that grenades aren’t a target locked ability, although it will be if you press the ability button directly on an enemy unit. You can literally press the ability button on empty ground and they’ll toss their grenades.

That’s so you can hit cloaked units.

I had the same issue. The enemies base wouldn’t take damage when I attacked. I think you have to now destroy the buildings around it in order to do damage. I could be wrong though.

That is correct, unlike in Halo Wars 1, most special abilities are ground targeting rather than locking onto the unit that you targeted so in many cases (such as the vulture’s special ability and grenade throws) they can be avoided by a vigilant player.
I have been trying to get into skirmish matches post patch and if I accidentally back out while setting it up and try to go back it locks me out of the controls and prevents me from changing any settings

Yeah, it’s a glitch. Happens quite regularly after the patch… bases seem to take a while to catch up on the damage being done to them, it’s like the game code doesn’t register they are taking damage.

I am super surprised this level of bug can reach release. Its quite a shame that this has happened. This game has taken a step backwards with this release. I too have found myself wanting to attack the main base and pile on the damage, yet the HP of the building remains at full? Why?! Rockets, bullets and explosives are reigning down on my enemy yet the buildings take no damage at all. Thats a fairly crucial part of this game, and its costing me wins.
I am sure a lot of work has been put into the path on the 7th. The problem is, a lot of it is unlikely to surface to us until ranked comes into play. And I sure hope that isn’t any time soon given the current state of affairs.
The Campaign froze for about 3 seconds, once while playing Mission 11, another while playing Mission 12. I’d never had a campaign freeze before the patch, but I also hadn’t played those missions before. I recall that one of the freezes happened just after killing the first Warlord (right corner).
I’ve also noticed the mislabeling of Heavy Supply Pads and Advanced Generators.
First. I found in bliz match: I dropped the smoke with nightingale. The marines inside the smoke jut needed to get out and fight. Even odst were neened to get out of the smoke.
Second. I shot the smoke to enemy blisterback which was in artillery mode. My wolverine was able to shoot missiles to the blisterback from outside the smoke. Any other unit was not able to shoot it.

I think that’s default behaviour of the Nightingale’s ability when used offensively… The AI does that to stop my units from attacking it, while moving its units back and laying into me. Just move and you’re fine. I use it in Blitz to stop Scarabs attacking, if the enemy doesn’t have detect units or bother moving it then you can lay right into that Scarab.
My glitches on Surface Pro 4 i7 8GB RAM after recent update of HW2 or GPU drivers.

You mean wolverine shooting missiles agains land unit? Normal? I know the smoke ability cause I only play with Cutter but! The marines had never run out of the smoke to engange enemies. Now they did! Normal? Not.
On pc the buildings dont reflect the upgrade changes made to them. ie Power generators after being upgraded are just power generators and not Advanced power generators.
