I’m not sure if this happens in every Halo game and Forge as well, but I had this problem on Halo 2 Custom Games. As the host, when you press start, you have the option to end the game or to click “Leave.” I clicked Leave on accident instead of ending the game, and instead of leaving the game, the screen dimmed and I was unable to do anything in the game. I could still see my Spartan standing still and the game wasn’t frozen because his gun was moving and I could hear ambient noises, but I couldn’t move, nor could I pull up the Pause menu either and I was forced to quit the game itself and reboot it
Has anyone else had this problem?
Sounds like a bug. Haven’t seen this one mentioned anywhere. Either leave game should migrate host to another lobby member or it should not be an option at all - as you’re hosting the lobby.
I had something quite similar. During the last match I played, a menu was obviously opened behind the match. I couldn’t see it, but every time I moved the joystick in any direction I could hear the typical selecting sounds, extremely annoying…
Another time, as I was backing out of an option menu to the main menu, the option menu was still opened behind the main menu. I was not able to close it or select any options and the option-button didn’t work as well.
Yep… Definitely had this one a few times!!! Posted it up in the bug thread, here’s my post on it… hasn’t happened when using quit, but most times when ‘Leaving’ it will happen… After about 30 seconds sometimes the game will end and progress as normal to postgame, but other times it will hang indefinitely…
