Now, we’ve basically been playing the same game modes since Halo 2. Oddball, CTF, assault, slayer, etc. Now, Reach attempted to change this by implementing such modes as stockpile, headhunter, and invasion, but they didn’t really take root in the Halo community. List some gametypes that you would like put into Halo 4. My suggestions:

Hunted- Crysis reminded me of this idea. Reach started a trend of having the zombies in infection much weaker than the humans. One shot to the head with the pistol was a kill, and it was very easy to survive a whole round. Hunted would seek to change this. The zombies should be feared, the humans should not be getting 30 kills a round, that should be what a zombie gets! Hunted would feature one zombie to start. They would be invisible, and have really high resistance with no shields. Their loadout would be energy sword and beam rifle, their armor ability would be promethean vision and they would have unlimited armor ability charge and sprint. The humans would have to survive with an AR and a shotgun. When a human dies, they become a lesser version of the hunter, basically the exact same, but a little weaker and with no sniper. Hopefully, there will be a jungle map, if not, there will hopefully be trees, bushes, and other nature items in forge to make the map. I think this would help establish the zombie as the dominate player again, not the humans.

“Search and Destroy”- People have been asking for this. There are no gametypes that have one life for each player. It’s a great idea that was well implemented in games like Counter Strike, and could be one of the best modes in 4.

Dogfight- There has yet to be a matchmaking experience completely based on air battles. Hopefully Halo 4 will have Pelicans and Phantoms so here’s how it would go. Players start on a large platform with a ton of air vehicles on it. Both sides would have a selection of any air vehicle in the game. This would have to be a big team battle game because 4v4 would not be a good dog fight. There would have to be barriers to block the enemy team from flying into the opposite teams territory. It’s very rare to have an air to air fight in most Halo games, this would allow for an air focused battle, and I think it would be a ton of fun.

(On the note of vehicle battles) Tank battle- Everyone would spawn in Scorpions and they wouldn’t be able to get out. Basically a flat map, with some cover big enough for a tank. One life (maybe?), the team that survives wins, simple as that. Perhaps there could be a playlist that is for vehicle battles including air and ground?
