As fun as ricochet looks I am a bit surprised they didn’t include a 1-Flag CTF variant as well. I think that and Assault have been two of the most highly requested game types.
343i, if you aren’t going to add an “official” version please use the unofficial one, it works just fine.
I really want to play 1-Flag in BTB Skirmish.

If you search the file share system, you’ll find a modded CTF game that is 1-Flag and Neutral. That’s the best you’re going to get, and I don’t think that gametype is weapon updated.
EDIT: To answer your poll question. Yes, and no. If they use the unofficial gametype, that might encourage players to mod more often. Hopefully in the future, they’ll bring back 1-Flag and Assault.

That’s pretty much what I’m talking about. I know it is extremely unorthodox to ask for a modded game type to be used in matchmaking but it’s a take on an old classic that should’ve been in the game to start.
The way I look at it is, these people have done most of the work. All 343i has to do is get it, test it for any bugs and then release it with the Turbo settings.

Ricochet looks like one bomb. But that’s just what I think. I Do want one flag to be added in. We could ask for this stuff in the War Games forum, but yeah. I loved one flag on High ground. Those were the days!

Well, then they should recreate the game mode themselves so it isn’t user-created material. If some amateur modders can recreate a solid 1-Flag experience then 343i really have no excuse.

The modes were already supported in the Default CTF we have on disc, but were hidden away for 1 reason or another.
I dont see this thread being open much longer because the discussions are going in a negative direction. We cant discuss modding, so we should keep it to the OP’s main post of whether 1-flag should be implemented.
Ricochet plays like Assault but no one knows if the arm, disarm, and fuse timers are available - and work. Im also surprised but 343 has been doing new. Takes on gametypes and while id rather have 1-flag and Assault back, a new gametype in general is a great change of pace.
