Now I realize this would be extremley difficult but what if 343 introduced a new game type, that involved dog fighting with Sabres? I think it would be a really interesting experiment and their are probably some big time pilots out there somewhere who would enjoy it. Let me know what you think, I would like to know how many people would be interested in sabre fights.
I would love it. I think it should be like the Battlefront 2 space battles but UNSC vs Covenant. You could choose from broadsword (anti fighter), pelican (troop transport), sabre (like an all rounder), the one at the end of Halo CE forgot the name (bomber). No idea if this has any roots in lore but would be so sick. Also its not even hard to do Battlefront did it in like 2007 on the PS2. (don’t know actual date)
And some guy could pilot the starships!!! so you actually conrtol like the spirit of fire, or pillar of autumn, or forward unto dawn. but it needs like 4 to drive (one to pilot, and three gunners (main and side cannons)) And like you can crash it into the side of a covenant super carrier which is piloted by the other team. and there is -Yoinking!- dogfights going on over head. THIS -Yoink- WOULD BE AWESOME. YOU WANT INNOVATION, YOU WANT TO BE BLOWN AWAY BY THE NEXT HALO. 343 DO THIS -Yoink- NOT -Yoink- THRUSTERS AND SPRINT -Yoink- THAT. GO BACK TO ORIGINAL GAME MECHANICS BUT ADD GAME MODES TO BLOW OUR -Yoinking!- BRAINS
I believe this is the progression of Halo not adding a thruster pack or whatever.
yes keep the arena, yes keep btb, keep ctf, infection and all that but I want to see something that blows my -Yoinking!- mind. I want to have 32v32 ground war mammoths vs scarabs, space wars stated above, ODST drops your dropped into a city and have to fight to regain control of the flood/covenant/promethean region.

When Reach came out, I thought they would implement this sort of gametype, but I completely agree. I think a dedicated space fight playlist would be pretty wicked.
Absolutely love the idea. Half of the draw of battlefield for me is getting into dogfights in the jets, though there are never enough. Halo aircraft dogfight=insanity. Please please implement this somehow 343 lol.
Wow glad to see that people actualy think this is a good idea, also I sort of like the idea of doing the Battlefront 2 thing. I hadn’t thought of that, plus so they didn’t copy it, their are plenty of things they could add to make it more unique.
