New Game type idea: Skirmish

Skirmish: A game type that is like firefight but make’s it more like war. there are 2 teams that can have a max of 4 playes on both sides. One side is elite’s the other spartans and both sides get 12 CPU’s. The CPU’s are evenly divided to the players and they follow the one that leads them.
Spartans get
Workers:Weak humans with no armor who start only with magnums (Common) (health: 3 bars)
Soldier:Armored humans with Assault Rifles (Medium) (Health: Full set of bars)
ODST:Humans with armor and small shields armed with DMR (rare) (Health:full set of bars and half a shield)

Elites get
Jackal Sniper: Jackals with no shields armed with Plasma pistols (common) (health:3 bars)
Jackal: Jackal armed with needler and a hand held shield (Medium) (Health: 10 bars)
Brutes: Brutes armed with Spikers with shields. They also do melee attacks (Rare) (Health: Full bar and a quarter of a shield)

This new game type would have 4 mini features

  1. Hill capture: Like king of the hill theres 3 hills holding one for a minute will produce a weapon that you can use or give to your soldiers to make them better. The more hills the better the weapons.(Players respawn)
  2. Kill All:both teams must kill off every living thing on the opponent’s side. (Players have 1 life)
  3. Conversion: In this it becomes a 3 way fight with the flood. After the population of both sides have gone under half A army of flood infection forms creep in taking any dead bodys on the field. (Players have a max of 4 lives)
    4.Wild attack: in this the goal of the game is to kill all the wild animals. Guetas moas and even thorn beast are all in this.
    Special Features
    On the Maps these would be for On serton game types of Mini features (Hill capture and Conversion) there will be a landing pad that you can use to replenish your troops By calling in a Pelican or Phantom. The landing pad takes 1 minute to replenish its self so people can’t spam it. The NPC’s are commanded using the D Pad.
    Up=Offensive: They attack on sight weather you want them to or not
    Right=Protecting: Only attack if you attack or if your being attacked.
    Bottom=Defend area: They stay where they are letting you go lone wolf.
    Left is night vision

Customs
In a custom game you can change the rarity of each unit or even there weapons (and how dangerus they are). How ever they each can only use serton weapons.
Worker, jackal sniper: mauler, SMG, Plasma Rifle, Magnum. (if NPC’s are on legendary they can use sniper weapons)
Soldier, Jackal: (all weapons above) Assault Rifle, Battle Rifle, Beam Rifle, Brute Shot, Covenant Carbine, Needler, Rocket Launcher, Sentinel Beam, Shotgun ,Sniper Rifle
Brutes and ODST: all except energy sword

Needs to be refined. The concept is good.

Well all my post’s dissapeard, but came back as about CEA and Halo 4.

I like it, maybe replace the Jackal sniper with a grunt, as a sniper with a plasma pistol does not sound right

Needs a lot of work because the beginning is just King of the Hill and then it’s just a variety of slayer and the wild animal killing would bore me to death, Moas are cool to punch and kill every now and then but a game type to hunt them down would bore me way to much to play.

Also I doubt you’d ever see a brute follow an elite, two major enemy classes wouldn’t follow each other.

Theres not just moas in the hunt one
there also the mighty gueta. and thorn beast. maybe a blind wolf
and the rest I see your point

if you used elite classes that are zelot or higher as the player unit and had elite calsses lower than that to be the covenant version of the ODST, this can solve the brute problem and i agree that the hunting gametype sounds way too boring

Exactly, what I’m saying is that regardless of what ‘wildlife’ there is, I don’t want to spend my time killing them. I’m not one of those weird animal lovers at all but I play Halo to kill Aliens, not kill strange birds like Moas :wink:

You need to think it through more because I think you’re trying to make an Invasion type game but not exactly Invasion as such if that makes sense? Think about using Assault, CTF, checkpoints as well, such as a race etc.

I was thinking there should just be AI spawns in Forge. You could change their stats and stuff.
