There needs to be a new game mode where you can’t rush, like on command and conquer where you couldn’t attack for up to a maximum of 15 minutes. Rushes are boring and kind of spoil the game

No. A strategy game is all about taking risks. A rush can win you the game quickly, but if it fails you’re left vulnerable. Saying that it “spoils the game” is just an opinion. An opinion that not everyone agrees with. The gamemode would be stillborn.

But a failed rush in this game is just way too forgiving cause map control is way too easy to gain for the rusher.

I’m all for some moderated games. But let’s be honest, you were the king of siege mode on command and conquer! Hahaha
The only proper way to nerf choppers is to make them abide by lore:
They should not be able to strafe since they’re lore-wise mechanically unable to move sideways.
They should not be able to fire on the move since lore-wise their guns are fixed forward and cannot travel horizontally, so unless a target is in their direction of travel they should not be able to hit it.
They should not be able to fire on air target since lore-wise their guns are fixed forward and cannot travel vertically.
Ok so whos fault is rushing. Que dramatic music… YOURS the guy getting “rushed” you wouldnt be getting "rushed " if you had units too. You would be fighting… or doing battle… if you will… You know… RTS stuff. If A guy has an army at your base and you haven’t built any units its your own fault not theirs. Map control? If your not building units of course they are going to have map control… Heck… If I dont see any units ill just save myself the money and take the map with 3 grunts or marines and have so much money mid/late game ill just ROFLSTOMP you. To put it simply if a guy is going to beat you in 3 minutes hes probably going to beat you in 5 10 or 15 minutes. Hes just getting on with the game to move onto his next opponent. Its just the way it is.

Any time i was goated into playing seige I just went R17 made 5 mcvs and made turrets and mothershipped and then all the seige (pros) were like… but thats not fair… lulul

Mothership for the win. Loved doing that. Maybe they should just bring Scrin to Halo award and give us that 3rd faction.

Should you hold a rush, you can easily take back map control with a timing push. Meanwhile, the other player will be stuck at tech 1 without any generators or power nodes.
I don’t see anything wrong with having a no rush playlist. Some people only like the RTS aspect of building a massive cool army and then attacking. .Not my forte but hey people want what they want
As a player who struggles against rushes severely (Seriously, look at my recent games and you’ll see how bad I am at defending against them.) I’d like this, but I know that rushing is and always will be a strategy in RTS games, it’s just the strategy that i struggle against all the time and will almost always lose against it till i figure out how to properly counter them.

So what would be the rules of this game mode (seriously)?
I think you will find it hard to make a good game mode that doesn’t allow attacking for 15 minutes.

A timed push comprised of what? You’ve been compressed into a single base with no minis, and your resources are already spent on turrets. Any sane rusher would pull back when he realize he can’t pop your base, so he’d have already taken a bunch of mini bases pumping marines/grunts, which will soon control all the power nodes.
In hind sight, maybe you’ve got a point there… maybe that’s why even legendary AIs suffer from a significant vulnerable period between 5min - 10min after their first wave of attack.
I’ve said this probably a thousand times already: just make all the expansion and mini slots preoccupied by neutral sentinel units and structures(read: make initial map control much harder to gain), and the rush problem would be instantly gone.

Rushing IS a strategy. The enemy wants to take you by surprise and if they do then they’ll win. You can’t force people to play differently because some like a nice slow game others don’t. It’s down to you to counter their attack and show them it was a mistake.
