New Game Mode Idea

(I’m not sure if anyone has already said this so if someone has, I don’t mean to discredit you):

Hello Halo fans! This morning I thought of a few ideas for for Halo 5 game modes. I think that the game mode should be called Clan War (bad name but I couldn’t think of anything else). Here’s what I’m thinking:

  1. -Covenant Slayer- There will be a free-for-all (with teams) between different species within the game. Each team of species will have a certain number of players depending on how powerful the species is. You will be able to play as the Elites, Brutes, Grunts, Jackals, Hunters, and Drone/Buggers. Here is what I think the maximum number of players for each team will be:
    Elites-4 Players
    Brutes-4 Players
    Grunts-10 Players
    Jackals-6 Players
    Hunters-2 Players
    Drones-6 Players
    (I’m hoping that the maximum unit for MP for Halo 5 will be at least 32 players.) Each team will only be able to use the weapons they have always been able to use; ex: Grunts, Drones, and Hunters will not be able to use snipers, etc. Basically, all you do is try to kill the enemy species. I think that the game type should (as default) be elimination: no re-spawns/1 life. Also, I think it would be cool if all the players dropped down to the map from phantoms or drop ships.

  2. -Ultimate Slayer- Basically, this game mode is Covenant Slayer but each team will be made of either Covenant, Human, Flood, or Promethean and it’s a little more different. Each player on a team will have to choose a type of character, as in being an ODST or a Spartan (UNSC), an Elite or a Jackal (Covenant), a Knight or a Crawler (Promethean), and a Carrier or a Tank. There will only be one player spot for each character on a team. Maximum of 8 players per team. Here the characters that would be in each team:
    Covenant-Elite, Brute, Jackal, Grunt, Hunter, Drone, Engineer, and Skirmisher
    Human-ODST (2 Spots), Spartan (2 Spots), Marine (3 Spots), AI
    Flood-Stalker (2 Spots), Ranged (2 Spots), Tank (2 Spots), Carrier (2 Spots)
    Promethean-Knight (2 Spots), Crawler (4 Spots), Watcher (2 Spots)
    Each player would have their individual loadout for their character unless they’re a Hunter, Watcher, Engineer, or an AI. And all of you may be wondering: What if if I’m playing as the AI, what the heck will I be able to do? Well my answer is this: the player playing as an AI will act as a protector for their fellow teammates. You will be able to 1) swap through your teammates cameras (basically the death cam from other Halos) and see what’s happening to them, 2) You can notify your teammates that there’s an enemy near them or if your teammates are being taken down fast, 3) You can send in an ordinance drop to a teammate (after a certain time period has passed) and you can specifically choose what weapon (only get 3 options) and 4) you can send in an airstrike from space (similar to call of duty); you will have a map on your screen (it will show players and structures and stuff) and you will get a cursor to use to select a target for your missile. This may sound a little…crazy, but it’s just an idea.

  3. -Legend Slayer- In this game mode, you can choose a specific leader in the Halo universe to play as. You can choose to play as Master Chief, the Arbiter, Agent Locke, Jul M’dama, the Didact, etc. Each character will have their unique abilities and after everyone has selected a character, you will fight to the death.

I have some more ideas but I’m kind of tired of typing (I’m gonna go play the MCC now). I hope you guys like my ideas even though they may be a little far-fetched. Later I will eventually post the second part of my Halo 5 gametype ideas. Have a good day!
