New Forge World(s):

I’m not going to lie, having only one palette to forge with on each map (or 3/4 palettes with the same general aesthetic) get’s incredibly dull.

In Halo Reach we wanted more than just silver, and in Halo 4 we got just white. Everything is white, everything is UNSC, it’s just so dull. We really want the ability to forge on distinct maps and more importantly with pieces that fit the map well. And we’d like REAL forge worlds again.

Here are a few examples of Forge Worlds I think we’d all like to see:

Classic/Forerunner Forge World:

The original rendition of the map from Halo Reach. Featuring built in remakes of Sanctuary, Blood Gulch, and Ascension, preferably more accurate remakes in some cases too (such as Asylum having several noteworthy differences from Sanctuary, that were later fixed in the MLG variation of the map). The pieces should continue to be Forerunner, and include the same types of parts we saw in Halo Reach and 4.

Covenant Forge World:

Taking place on High Charity, the entirety of this map allows you to enter sections of two Covenant Ships (one, a Corvette, the other a CRS), as well as some recognizable spaces from Halo 2’s missions ‘Gravemind’, and ‘High Charity’, such as the Council Chamber and the Mausoleum of the Arbiter. Forge pieces should be Covenant based, with more ornate and interestingly curved designs. Try to give us pieces that allow us to build similar hallways, rooms, and structures to ones we saw throughout Halo’s campaigns, fully redesigning the tower, and base pieces would be a nice touch too. It should feature built in remakes of Zealot on the Corvette, Midship on the CRS, and Gemini in the city itself.

Human City Forge World:

Taking place in a human city on a human planet (possibly Mombassa, Earth), this map would allow us to forge in several interesting locations, including the interiors of some buildings (hollowed out for creativity), and areas designed as remakes of Turf, Terminal, and Perdition. A nice touch would even be to allow players to follow the train tracks from Terminal, and find the overhanging train area from Perdition. For Customs, it might even be cool to allow us to adjust whether or not the trains stop at train stations, allowing players quick travel between sections of map. Forge Pieces would again be unique to the human aesthetic, including parts to decorate building interiors, and streets. As well as exterior building pieces so we can construct our own buildings in cleared out places that actually look like legitimate homes, apartments, and office buildings from the outside.

I’d like to be able to switch between forerunner, UNSC, and Covenant parts. So that that I can make a UNSC Base on one side, a Covy on the other, and Maybe a Forerunner in the middle. Have the ability to switch between block race types on the same map, with out having to go to another map to switch.

Agreed.

I love to see 3/4 Forge World Size maps.

One would be a Human City Theme, Covenant Theme, Forerunner Theme and something else.

I would love to see the Human City Theme contain the following maps built into it:
Turf, Headlong, Terminal, Elongation, Ivory Tower and Perdition.

Be nice if the Train passed through all levels, and could even stop. And allowed you to board.

Halo 4 gave us 3 Forge Maps, that were great, but they have not been implemented. The forge pallet was almost the same for all of them.

Forge also requires to have Switched to allow Gates, Bridges to be open and closed. This would improve Forge and return us to the interactive maps we had with Halo 2/3.

This would be awesome.

And it would be great to be able to build UNSC and Covenant Bases on the same level.

i would love to forge in a cityscape, driving Hogs and Aircraft around, and making UNSC bases here and there

i will say, UNSC pieces in H4 are too white, nothing like a highly-organized military would design their base parts IMO

A forge Cityscape would definitely make my day. Covenant Forge Maps, we definitely need as well.

It would be nice though, if both a Cityscape and Covenant based forge maps are as big as Forge World itself, back in Halo Reach. I like your idea, OP.

In terms of size, I want (require) Forge Maps to be able to fit all past Forge Maps within as a minimum. I want varying environments that consist of flat spaces, adaptable valleys, cave filled canyons, waterfall fed lakes, blank Forerunner ruins, bubbling lava fields, and pretty much everything.

Call me extra ambitious, but at least one can dream.

How about being able to set traps in trick maps. Example: In Halo 3, the custom power up would be placed infront of a dumpster with a “cannon man” placed behind it. The player grabs the power-up and the dumpster would fly towards them, eventually killing them.

All I have to say to this is “map editor”. I know all the classic refutations and I disagree with them (obviously). It’d be great having a proper map editor to work hand in hand with an upgraded Forge.
