New Forge Update. WHAT A DISAPPOINTMENT!

honestly, i wasn’t expecting anything for forge, so i’m happy. it’s a small improvement, but it’s still an improvement. not having the option to delete soft block areas is disappointing though. i hope it can come soon

Honestly there are only 3 features I want for Forge moving forward:

  1. Removing built in boundaries to make maps fully explorable not just on Forge canvases but every map.

  2. Private file limit increase because 50 is just not enough.

  3. Target Locator for Halo 4 Forge, Reach has it why doesn’t 4?

Yeah kinda strange since it’s existed in Halo 4’s multiplayer files far longer than Reach.

i would like to know why 343 refuses to let user’s remove the soft and kill barriers in forge in stock maps. Hell we could do it in Halo Online!

I can do it in a assembly but then I can’t run it in a custom game unless they user has the map like the old days of Halo.

Yeah I’ve pretty much been asking for this feature since they started updating MCC.

Yeah I really honestly expected Halo 3’s forge to be updated to almost the level we got with Eldewrito.
Removing boundaries and changing skyboxes would be next level.

Ya me too! IMHO there is no logic why we can’t remove the soft and kill barriers. Make no damn sense! I just hope we can do it when we get Forge for Halo Infinite!

We still have more updates coming for MCC, just keep respectfully asking 343 for it. I’m sure plenty of people would agree with you.

I just hope in the next update ( If we even get one ) that we will be able to remove the SOFT and KILL BARRIERS and be able to put them where WE WANT!

Could not agree more. Also next update is slated for November, and even if we don’t get removable barriers, imo we should’ve gotten them a while ago, we’re still getting that massive Spartan point payout.

Hopes for further MCC Forge updates:

  1. Magnet attachment mechanic for every title.
  2. driver seat enabled for dropships like Pelican, Spirit, Phantom, etc.
    2a) Official implementation of the content within PepperMan1807’s Pelican and Phantom mod for Halo 3 Forge.
  3. New palette map added to Reach, designated as “Orbit” (the area around Anchor 9 from the campaign)
  4. New props/vehicles/models added to Halo Reach Forge, as follows:
  • Ceudar corvette prop (from the space section of Long Night of Solace)
  • Paris frigate prop (from the space section of Long Night of Solace)
  • Destroyed Paris frigate component props (as seen when Savannah is destroyed on Long Night of Solace)
  • operational Onager turret (from the Pillar of Autumn mission; this would make those Skybattle-type CTF maps even more hectic)
  • Tyrant AAA cannon mount
  • Tyrant AAA cannon proper
  • Covenant Spire base/mount
  • Covenant Spire top
  • Longsword prop/vehicle (from the multiplayer map Boneyard or campaign mission Tip of the Spear)
  • Civilian transport prop (from campaign mission Exodus)
  1. New palette map added to Halo 3, designated “Oceanic” (the area where the forward half of FUD crashes; previously only seen in a cutscene but it’s massive)
  2. New props/vehicles added to Halo 3 Forge, as follows:
  • Covenant AAA tripod (from The Storm and The Ark maybe destructible)
  • Seraph fighter prop (model is seen in the opening cutscene to The Ark)
  • Full Charon frigate prop
  • Front half Charon frigate prop
  • Rear half Charon frigate prop
  • Aircraft carrier prop (as seen on multiplayer map Longshore)
  1. New props/vehicles/weapons/etc. for Halo 4 Forge, as follows:
  • Full operation enabled for Lich assault platform
  • Fully-operational Mammoth
  • (Operational?) Covenant heavy artillery cannon (as seen in Episode 8 Mission 2 of Spartan Ops)
  • Covenant plasma storage battery (as seen in Episode 6 Mission 4 of Spartan Ops)
  • Target Locator (from campaign map Reclaimer)
  • Full Covenant Zanar cruiser prop
