A couple ideas I have for Forge that I feel would help us create maps that look more like we like.
We currently have floors with some detail and walls with some detail, but a lot with no detail. In Reach and 4, all walls and floors had a lot of texture. I think we should have some with textures. Some examples:
-Walls with electrical circuitry and wiring exposed.
-Tile textured floors and walls
-Brick textured walls
-Cobblestone textured floors
-Walls with vents on them.
Also, we should get some thinner glass to place as the current glass is fairly thick.
Gas tanks and thinner pipes.
Metal mesh bridges and catwalks.
Also, Halo 4 had the Dominion gametype. This wasn’t all that popular and likely won’t return in Halo 5. However, what I miss about it was the objects it added to Forge that could be placed in any map. There were all sorts of computers, terminals, holograms, and wires we could place and it would be great to get these back.
Also, doors and door outlines. We currently have none.

I agree with those mostly, especially dominion. I loved Halo 4’s dominion (Strongholds on steroids.) The aesthetic pieces it added to forge would be great additions to the Halo 5 forge (spotlights, wiring, terminals, monitors.)
The walls might be a bit much to ask for. The current wall system is maybe a bit too simple, but it does help keep the rendering costs down (I think) and helps make meshing and making intricate structures blend together more easily.
Id also like:
More tree options
Trait volumes
Grass options
Water volumes
optimized movement and rotation scripting (somewhat glitchy at times)
optimized vehicle and object welding
UNSC flying vehicles (Falcon especially, followed by the hornet later on if I had to pick)
More wall accents that are thinner so they can be placed in structures without clipping to the outside (wires, etc.)
Facade Buildings (making buildings by hand for city landscapes costs WAY too many items to be completely convincing (and just stacking 128x128x128 blocks isn’t always the answer.
The building facades would be really cool. I’d also like dead trees and different rock colors.
