Alright so we all know that the current forge monitor is 343 guilty spark (skeptics) but what if we got another forge monitor, he could be 2401-Pentinent Tangient.
Off topic but what if Halo 2 Anniversarys terminals talked about 2401-Pentinent Tangient and his story before he was captured by the grave mind…
What do you guys think?
What if we had our own monitor instead of one of the ones we already see in the games? The colour of the lights/eye would be the same as the team colour. That would be much more interesting if you ask me.
The second part is assuming that they do make Halo 2 Anniversary and that there are Terminals in it. But if that does happen, it would be cool to see him way back in the past, pre-Flood. Though I don’t know if it would be as interesting as 343 Guilty Spark’s Terminals.
although i agree it would be cool to edit ur moniter choose light colors and the color of the metal similar to how u choose your spartans armor colors, i dont think we see the monitors enough for me to want 343 to take time from the game to do something as minor as this
I’d personally like to be able to be an Engineer for Forge. If Halo 4 has the “Prefered Species” just as Reach does then if you prefer to be an Elite (Or maybe an other Covenant sepcies hint hint 343i) you can be an Engineer in Forge.

Hey now that’s a cool idea. I’d LOVE to have the option to be an engineer in Forge. That could have some very cool possibilities for screenshots too.
Considering engineers where around during the time of the forerunners, it would make sense that the forge builder would be an engineer.

Engineers are such large creatures… It would be awkward to fly around as masive covenant spiecie.
The Monitor featured in Forge isn’t any specific ancilla of the Halo array or other Forerunner facilities, its just a non-canon (that we know of) entity used for gameplay.
Simply put, the Forge Monitor has a default purple “eye” while 343 Guilty Spark is a light blue.

Sounds like a fun idea!

Engineers aren’t Covenant though, they were created by the Forerunner
Customisable monitors sound like a good idea, different lights, moving sounds, maybe even change to like a sentinel or something. Sounds cool!

the only 2 downsides I see to this is that Engie’s are kind of large, so building some Close-quarters areas may be difficult.
also, in H3/Reach, the Forge Moniter has a “boost” ability used to get around the map quicker, i think that a fast moving Engie would kind of stupid (not important, but still)
The Engineer idea sounds real cool, but… How would it work? Like people said, it’s kind of big, also rather slow, and would be hard and awkward to fit into be able to make stuff? A fast moving one would be kind of… weird, as the previous poster stated, and what would they do, make a smaller one? But I must say… It would be pretty cool

Yeah a smaller engineer, a baby one that when boosts has a nyan cat rainbow
(not serious about the rainbow part)
