So i was watching the Spartan Ops trailer and noticed something that looks like a massive Flood form:
Maybe a Scarab/Flood?

I think that might just be the lighting in the picture.
A flood infested scarab is actually an impossibility. Lekgolo worms can’t be infected. Unless the Flood has evolved that much to make its own scarabs.

Probably just a bigass Flood form.
Flood? In Spartan Ops? HOLY MOTHER OF GOD LET ME CHANGE MY PANTS AND BE HAPPY FOR ETERNITY!!
However! Flood? In Spartan Ops? This early? Unfortunately doubt it.
It doesn’t look like Flood, at all.
It looks more like a down-graded version of a Scarab. You can see the machine parts on it, especially its legs.
It does look a bit organic too. Maybe a new version of a Promethean, or more likely a Promethean Vehicle finally? Or both (considering how a Scarab is both Hunters and a Vehicle)?
However, I doubt it’s something like a Promethean Scarab because this thing is Purple, not Gray, hinting towards something Storm-wise. Also, Forerunner things don’t look like machines (or least don’t show the machine outside of it), and this thing does.
So, I’m leaning more towards some kind of version of a Scarab.
I would really love to see this trailer to see what it’s all about.

terrible quality and sound but it’s the only one I saw avail.
I think it is just the lighting. While the legs scream scarab, nothing else remotely resembles one. And everything looks too sculpted and symmetrical to be flood.
Saw a space battle mixed up in there…hopefully that will be a Broadsword level. Been waiting for something like that in Spartan Ops.
Now Spartan Ops looks like it has scale!
And I think they’re trying to make the Scarab closer to a beetle. Notice the mandibles.
it doesnt look fleshy and decayed enough to be a flood form IMO.
i dont know what it could be. but the general defining characteristics arent there IMO.
It looks Flood-ish, but isn’t decaying, so I’m going with no. However, could it be Precursor? They are supposed to have similarities with the Flood right? JUst not decrepit.
I’m probably wrong, I really need to catch up on lore…
