What do you all think of the new “Fish Stick” control scheme for Halo 4?
It looks like it is well implemented for what everyone has been saying, regarding the action in Halo 4
This or “default” are the ones I will probably be using.
I like the name
I seriously loled when I first saw this it’s pretty much the COD control scheme XD and the name Fish stick kind of reminds me of south park if you ever saw that episode
no thanks, that control scheme is extremely counter intuitive to halos gameplay …

I see that it is extremely similar. I just hope that it plays well. I usually use “bumper jumper”, but that doesn’t seem to be an option for me now.
“Yeah, I like fish sticks in my mouth.”

I’m pretty sure its an easter egg too.
Everyone complains of Halo 4 being like Call of Duty, commonly shortened to Cod.
Cod is a fish.
So 343i makes the controller layout that CoD uses, and calls it fish stick!

It’s a very delicate state of mind.

Maybe it’s a joke. Calling it “Fish Stick” because it’s CoD’s control scheme, and no-one likes fish sticks. Or do they? But seriously.
EDIT: @JSA343, that too.

Ha ha. You might be on to something there.
I think some people say its fishy that they’re using a “COD” controller set up. Truth is everything is Halo and even the COD controller scheme is a rip off of Halo in the end.
There’s been a tidal wave of information guys. Maybe you should let it sink it. Or else we’ll have Titanic amounts of whining threads.
It looks like they literally took every control that makes sense and moved it to where it doesn’t make sense. Throwing grenades with RB? Meleeing with Right stick? Screw that.

You don’t get it, do you?
A cod is a type of fish…

I think what he might mean is that the controls seem bass-ackwards (see my pun, there?) to him.
While what you are trying to say is… the controller is a fish?

This pleases me.

The name/how the name came to be doesn’t matter. The control scheme is what matters, and this one is completely different from anything we’ve seen in Halo.

This man does not understand.
I don’t know about the actual scheme, but the opportunity for jokes is endless, so it ges my thumbs-up.
All this talk of fish is making me hungry.

Bumper Jumper was totally different at the time. I mean, jumping with a shoulder button? What an odd concept! The control scheme is 100% there to make players who play a lot of Call of Duty feel comfortable. And trust me, I played Halo 2 with one of my friends who has since moved on to CoD, and he wanted to know why they didn’t just use the CoD layout. It’s just catering to a wider audience.
And on a semi-unrelated note: why do you always post in such an irritating shade of red?
