Most of what makes Halo special has been grotesquely deformed anyway.
And This really is not a good idea. They should have just kept to the halo 3 assassinations, these extended animations just waste time.

did reach deform halo in your opinion?
i like assassinations,
remember, they ARE OPTIONAL, in reach, you can choose if you want a quick “beat down” to save time, or you can chose to do an epic kill animation

Exactly. The animated assassinations were even said by a Bungie employee(Don’t remember who, or in which vid-doc) to be something optional so that you can get a little extra satisfaction from a nice little piece of brutality. If you don’t want to watch it happen, then don’t. Just love tap them in the back and go onward.
