New Equipment idea for Halo Infinite Multiplayer what's yours?

i had an idea like this. its amazing how something so simple would make halo better, even more interesting than what equipment infinite currently offers.

so you want to be batman. I actually really like this idea. its basicallly an overpowered smoke grenade. if youre inside you should be able to see inside so that you can have fights inside with other people.

Well I don’t mean like a smoke circle. I just want it to be like a smoke cloud. You can’t see out and you can’t see in. Though you can still shoot in/out of it. With how fast many weapons kill, getting caught is easy and you can use this as a defensive reposition utility.

Remember, equipment is supposed to be useful utility arsenal. Not your power ability. I don’t why people here are thinking of so many damage equipment when Halo Infinite issues none of those.

I just meant like valorant, which leads to interesting gameplay where you can fight inside the cloud. it would be kind of annoying to tthrow down a smoke and be ccompletely blind.

I would like an equipment that sort of falls into the family of the power drain and regen family. Not quite sure what to call it though.

It would emit a field the size of the power drain from H3. But instead of draining or regenerating your shield, it just prevents your shield from regenerating while your in it.

So you wouldn’t actively take damage from the equipments field, but you wouldn’t heal either.

Okay not really personal equipment but how about if they add on BTB maps LEVELING STATIONS. maybe two in neutral areas with 2 or 4 charges before it has to recharge. what it does is it levels the weapon you are carrying into its weapon Variant. or even the drop pods that fall from the sky can start to include weapon variants in them instead of power weapons.

This is so interesting! I think it’s much better to focus on utility type equipment rather than borderline weapon/damage equipment. Double credit for items that can be used against you or flop if used poorly. I particularly like the smoke grenade. I would love it if it was so thick you could barely see another spartan when you are both standing on the OS spawn that someone bombed. 343 could even add unique sound design within the smoke. A bit more muffled noise and whizzing of bullets, like the air is thick. And let the effect linger, long enough that the cover can easily be turned against you.

I am trying to keep my ideas rather tame, in the spirit of realism.
1: “Situational Awareness” You temporarily have 4 radar circles at the bottom of your screen. One for each teammate in Arena, or the 4 closest (or your squad) in BTB. You even have access to all radars while you or they are zoomed in. This way you not only get more info for yourself, you can call out to teammates “Behind you!” if they are preoccupied, or zoomed in.

2: “Tripwire” This would be a deployable obstacle that would interrupt sprint and slide mechanics. I don’t know if it would be too much to interrupt walking, such that a jump is required. But either way it would be a deployable equipment that would affect some of the nuance to map design and skill gap associated with advanced movement. Perhaps it could even block clamber? Or more realistically it could force clamber where otherwise a normal jump or crouch jump would be sufficient. This equipment would have to have a long use I think to have any noticeable effect on gameplay, but perhaps not. Maybe blocking one perfect jump, or one clutch crouch slide with the flag would be the game changer. In BTB maybe it could force a forward tumble in the vehicle (but maybe it still lands on all fours typically, just interrupting a moment of motor control and turret control, while applying a bit of body damage.

3: “Spoof Grenade” This would be a throwable radar spoofer. You could huck it like a grenade, or lay it at your feet. It would create red dots that move in and out of range of enemy radar. It’s critical that it is not obviously fake, or it is totally useless. It would have a limited range, like the current threat detector, but with no obvious aura.

A couple of my more gamebreaking ideas:

4: “Overclocked” You can overclock your shields so they recharge either sooner, or more quickly or both. But you are more susceptible to electrical damage. Perhaps being hit with electrical nades while overclocked is an instant emp/loss of shields.

5: “Guardian” You get to place a forced spawn zone. The zone is highly visible to you and the enemies and is not movable when placed but it will become the spawn area of the next spartan on your team spawning in. This totally wouldn’t work in ranked games, but could be really fun in custom games or social playlists. Easy to backfire since it can be camped or watched by a power weapon, but also very useful when trying to push an enemy team.

For dueling purposes maybe not. But I guess to still see inside is probably helpful. Though you can’t see outside. The enemy still hast to go in to get you or just shoot from the outside. Though I don’t wish for it to be so big. Just a small cloud to cover a portion. I still want it to be used mainly to give yourself cover to reposition.

That way, the threat sensor actually becomes a counter and able to be used for more obvious reasons.

I had an idea where everyone picks their own unique equipment at the start of a match, like classes but you still have to pick up equipment ammo on the map. Every match would feel unique especially if 343 keep adding more equipment to infinite.

What stops everyone from just picking a grapple hook?

they could if they wanted or duplicate equipment could be limited per team. Only people who fight for equipment ammo on the map can use their equipment.

I’d like the option for some back attachments

I think this is freaking brilliant. Holograms in Halo and Titanfall are cool and make fun clips but are a kind of hit and miss equipment based on your opponent’s awareness. Adding some dynamic pathfinding might be a great way to enhance the illusion.

I see a few tripwire mentions. I have an idea for an approach to a ‘trap’ equipment.

“Shock Mine”

Place a mine onto a surface including walls and ceiling. Whenever an enemy or vehicles gets too close it acts like a stationary Dynamo Grenade for 2 seconds. This damages players and vehicles and alerts the user with hitmarkers, BUT doesn’t kill anything by itself (unless the opponent is super weak.)

This makes the tripmine more of a utility through awareness and softening up opponents but doesn’t become a spammable, place-and-forget insta-kill trap.

Firecrackers (Lure)- throw them and they sound like gunfire and set off a radar blip.

Weapon Pad Charge - Immediately charges the closest unready weapon pad.

Weapon Pad Reset - Resets every weapon recharge counter pad on the map.

False Mark - places a false “enemy mark” location seen by enemies.

Friendly Hack - your enemies see your outline and gamertag in friendly colors.

Also, really would like Hologram/Bot, Grav Lift, and Bubble Shield.

firecrackers are like in COD Vanguard. yeah they would actually work well in Halo

I was playing on Fragmentation went into the cave and got the BR variant and thought they should have weapon terminals around the maps where you can upgrade the weapon you are carrying for its variant but it has 4 charges and takes a minute to recharge.
