I’ve wondered if there could be some new kind of enemy in Infinite.
We haven’t seen the flood in 4 and 5 and I’m asking myself if in Infinite there is coming a new enemy or if the flood returns what would be cool. They made me so angry ahaha but I miss those little things.
But could you guys imagine that we could get new enemies??? And if yes, what kind of enemies? We’ve had the flood, the ally and the Prometheans so far, but what could come and would you guys like it to see new enemies???
new factions? no. New enemy variants? sure but it would be suicide for them to randomly throw in a new enemy faction at this point.
There’s a rarely spoken of species in the Halo universe that somehow got a big mention in H5: the Yonhet. It was such a random reference in that game, which makes me think they might get a fairly significant role in Infinite. I’m not saying they will have a major role. But if we are looking to spice things up a bit, the Yonhet have the potential to become a new enemy to fight in Infinite. Culturally, they are similar to the Kig Yar, who are scavengers. But physiologically, they could be more intimidating than Kig Yar from a gameplay perspective. Kind of like a nerfed version of the Elites. Throw in some Created tech and they could be just as challenging as the Sangheili.
I would like to see Locust from Gears series😂No,but seriously i would.Maybe a Halo Gears game where they switch enemies!
Well, new enemies, I hope not. Let’s not further complicate things.
But I think the Banished could come into play somehow. However, we know the bulk of their forces are on the Ark (currently inaccessible).
There are multiple parties interested in getting to the Ark most notably, Professor Anders and by extension, Cortana. While it hasn’t been stated in Cannon yet, Cortana knows the Power the Ark holds. And she could manipulate Anders into helping her get there.
And while ancillary material no longer influences he games, Rion Forge and Chakas/Spark are currently looking for the Spirit of Fire, which is currently on the Ark.
So, while this doesn’t provide concrete evidence of the Banished in Infinite, I’d say it’s likely. Furthermore, Halo Wars 2 didn’t sell well. Plans for a 3rd were abandoned I think. Which I think makes it even more likely that the Banished will find their way into the Reclaimer saga directly.
