Here’s I found out from a friend that some of the forerunners are still alive becuase there made out of metal or something.It might be the Forerunners but also all the Covenant died but not the Elites and the Arbiter soo maybe they might betray the UNSC(United Space Command).Or the humans try to kill the UNSC(United Space Command).Or a Brand new enemy! 
The forerunners are all dead. Since the website say we will be fighting an acient evil, we will most likly be going up against Precursers and/or the Flood.

The Covenant didn’t die. They simply fell apart since they had no one to guide them and the Elites were on the side of the UNSC.
Your friend is largely misinformed from what I see.
