Is it only in campaign? Is it drivable? Is it going to be in multiplayer?
I think Sandtrap from Halo 3 was one of the best maps just because it had the elephant. I hope this awesome vehicle makes it to the multiplayer.
Yes. It is the UNSC Mammoth. Think bigger brother to the UNSC Elephant.
It will have an integral part in Spartan Ops.
What I’m hoping for is a toy of this. Mega Bloks holds the license for building blok sets (similar to LEGO, but less expensive and BETTER). Hopefully they will make the Mammoth a set. McFarlane may also make this as a vehicle in their “Micro Ops” line. (Mini vehicles and figurines)
The UNSC Mammoth itself reminds me of the Clone Turbo Tank from Revenge of the Sith.

oh yeah those were the best, I remember I always tried to get the other elephant to flip.

Lol, elephant flipping is fun but is also pretty hard. Halo 3, good times.
I’m thinking that the vehicle looks pretty old and like it has been unused for a long time and I think this is because the UNSC decommissioned them some time before Reach. This would explain why the ‘mammoth’ do not appear in any of the previous Halo games. I’m thinking that the UNSC decided to put everything they could find on Infinity including a bunch of old Mammoths they had left. This would also explain why the colors and logo on the vehicle do match any of the other vehicles as they are pretty old.

I had to go to the toilet during an elephant battle, I came back and we were sill fighting -_____- they were -Yoink-
I remember setting up the elephant for capture the flag on the other side of no-man’s-land with it’s side turret facing outwards. The top turret overwatched the front and the hill behind it with a person sniping or lazing. We were impregnable.
Often times I’m set a warthog in the back as a rear guard. Hammer camped down by the unbreakable glass for enemies boarding the vehicle. Oh it was so much fun! Having this vehicle of similar use in War Games would be great!

OR
It’s desert camo
elepants/mammoths are specialist veichles (they were used mainly for search/rescue
