No this is not the attempt at cheaper prices. This stuff will be addressed after the Holyday Break.
ok no microtransaction in gaming history has ever been worth money I’d argue, so kind of a weird argument?
yes and the more they raise the prices the less likely I am to buy anything.
A lot of the current weekly items are trash. $7 for a pizza keychain? $15 for some grey weapon coatings? This is trash that they could offer me for free and I would still be uninterested. Them cat ears are cool though admittedly.
Yeah, I know. They are getting paid. Because of the microtransactions.
I think that a microtransaction can be worth money in a free-to-play game, but some prices are too steep.
I’d like to buy things, but I don’t want it to be so expensive.
I probably wouldn’t buy a pizza charm, and I don’t think basic colors and combinations should cost anything.
If there was a cat armor set, I might buy it for $3-$5 however.
The campaign is likely selling as well, but I doubt they’re being paid because of that or the microtransactions.
$5 for any microtransaction is never going to be worth it. That $5 is far more impactful when spent on real life stuff. That was my point. All microtransactions are just optional and pointless.
Why do you think they are being paid by Microsoft? I’m waiting to hear conspiracy theories.
You could say the same about spending money on video games.
Regardless, I think that spending $60 for 30 armor sets and other customization items would be worthwhile.

I’m not sure if those are accurate, but I don’t think they’re working for free until they get sales.
Even by that logic, I would still argue its a horrible value. You’d be better off spending your money on new games/experiences. Microtransactions have always been filler at best.
Zero chance that 343i has 10k employees, and nothing in the Glassdoor reviews or whatever elucidate anything for me. All I got from it is that 343i employees love their job?
It depends on what you consider worthwhile.
It’s saying Microsoft has more than 10,000 employees, not 343.
Also, those are full-time jobs with salary pay.
I mean you are basically just saying that they get paid extremely well, thus reinforcing my argument?
Also lots of contract work, though hard to speculate how many of them are contract vs full time.
Not really.
The game doesn’t need items to be overpriced for them to make that amount of money and a profit for Microsoft.
