So I’m not sure if this is true or actually what’s happening but the past few daily shop changes have been 500-700cr.
Now while these prices seem abit better they’re still quite pricey especially if we cant earn any credits while playing. Not to mention they’re only “blue” quality (rare I guess) so I’d assume legendary etc
will be more pricey for no reason.
So if this was 343 attempt at better pricing how do you feel?
Personally, I still need it cheaper for what I’m getting or the option to buy only 1 item instead of a bundle. But if I was to have my way I either want ways to earn credits over time to spend in the store along side real money or bundles and items made cheaper.
I think that if a 5 item bundle comes out and is rare it should be 250cr if its mainly stickers for armour and guns but if 5 of thoses are gun skins then 500cr should be fair or just add away to get cr
ok 7 dollars is not high. I don’t what games you play bruh, but most games charge far far higher.
No they aren’t. You seriously want any of that garbage? I have only seen like 1 set of cool looking skins the whole time I’ve been playing (they were those desert camo skins IIRC)
People want what they cannot have. They could give me all those skins for free and I’d still probably not use any of them (if you wanna try and argue the value of Pineapple grenades and muddy looking vehicle skins go ahead)
People sometimes want just one item in a bundle. Just because you don’t want anything in the store means absolutely nothing. Just because I said universally doesn’t mean anything. I could’ve said a majority of people and you would’ve still cringed at me. Keep complaining about others with no constructive suggestions though, my dude. You do you.
I’d just like to point out the humor in labeling an armor or coating as “rare” like its not available for anyone to purchase lol
also still should be cheaper or just put it all in the battle pass and charge more for it, maybe only things like pineapples and teddy bears/tea bags go in the store. ngl if the teabagcharm was only $1 I would’ve bought one
Here’s a brilliant suggestion that I don’t think anyone has said. The store is fine. Its a F2P game, if they don’t make money off of skins then it means they’ll drop it in about a year or two. Its almost like people think Fortnite or Apex Legends or any F2P title thrives off love and faith, no they make insane amounts of money and can push out tons of content because they monetize cosmetics.
I recall Halo 5 charging 100 dollars for some stupid REQ packs, I had far larger issues with that than I do the Infinite store.
I made this same exact argument when Halo 4 strayed too far from Halo’s roots, the store is perfect and although they could scrap it (I still sorta feel like they’ll just redo Warzone, so lootboxes here we come!) I think its the best system we will ever get. Unless you want to put more stuff behind paywall?
the developers have to be paid dude, no way around that. No amount of complaining will change that fact.
Edit: I still argue that all the free skins are drastically superior to the paid ones. Tenrai/WC, free BP, even the coatings are better. They charge money for wacky wild races content lol.
I mean I guess ignore my suggestion on individual items? $20 or $0 at the moment or $20 for a bundle and $3 for individual items from in the bundle. Bundle is a group of items discounted in total.
I never asked for free stuff or for more stuff behind a pay wall, just accessibility to the stuff which is locked behind bundles. That access involving paying for it. Not getting it for free or adding more paywalls.
The only other thing I could see them doing is REQ packs, or more specifically (because I imagine changing the current system completely like that would be a serious pain in the -Yoink!-) they would make it so that you could spend money on weapon/vehicle variants.
Another possibility is Campaign DLC (which realistically would make far less money than a lot of the stuff already in the store honestly) or charging for basic features like Forge or something.
I personally just like the upfront nickel and dime store they have now. You like something? Buy it. You don’t? Don’t. Simple stuff.
No what I was saying is that bundles as a general rule (extremely common inside and outside of gaming) has been proven to be successful. Why? Because certain items have zero chance of selling by themselves. I’ve seen quite a few items in the store and it baffles my mind as to how anybody could seriously pay money for it. The most obvious example was the stupid Reach Falcon Emblems, like who would be willing to spend any amount of money for an emblem? Idk. I wouldn’t.
They could offer more flexibility with the store itself, but I feel that UI limitations are its Achilles heel.
Yes but what you are willing to pay and what someone else is willing to pay are two different things entirely.
If someone wants to spend $20 on some stupid tacky item then I say let them, doesn’t impact me a bit.
You also have the counter argument, that decreasing that much of the item just cheapens it, and at that point its worthless. So its important for them to have some items at high prices. Let the whales feel special lol.
How would you know? What’s overpriced garbage to me may be just the right thing for someone else.
Disagree with you there. I want to spend money on items. I’d buy individual coatings for a $1. I’d buy a new armor pack I really liked for $10 (not an old one). I’d buy the heart Charm for $2, and would have paid $5 to buy it in the bundle. I want to pay 343, I have spare money that I blow, and I’d like to blow some on infinite, but I have to find the prices with it. I don’t currently. Alot of people I’ve talked to feel the same way. Sure, some people will never spend a cent, but if wager a lot of people would buy if only prices were cheaper.
It’s not only about what I’m willing to pay.
It’s also about what’s fair to pay.
Previous games included 8+ armor sets and other customization items with the campaign for $60.
This game includes no armor sets with the campaign, you get about 3-4 free armor sets and you get a few customization items.
Not only that, but other games include even 20 sets of armor, and they do far more.
Aside from keeping the prices up and encouraging Microsoft to keep including and raising the price of microtransactions in games.
I wouldn’t mind if they had something like golden armor sets for $20 and normal armor sets were $3, but that’s not how it is right now.
A coating bundle that includes no armor is on there right now for basically $20.
I doubt there are many people who want to pay more for nothing.
Also, if they weren’t getting paid, 343 would probably have almost no one working there, and there would be no new content or changes for the game.
