So I was playing Warzone Firefight with a friend and he somehow managed to get this weapon which looks like a covenant rocket launcher.
Just wanted to ask if anyone knows what this thing is.

Not really new, it’s called a plasma launcher, it’s from halo reach, currently not in req system, just in warzone firefight from an enemy (covenant).
Would love to see the Plasma launcher return. Covies definitely need some anti-air at the moment.
Wouldn’t be surprised if this came out in a future update.

That said, man what a dumb gun. It was dumb in Reach, and I’m sure it’s dumb in Halo 5. I thought the plasma caster was a much better take on the same principle.

Dude nobody actually likes the plasma caster due to the fact that its projectiles have a gigantic arc and that its hard to actually kill someone with it , However the plasma launcher just looked better to be and it was also a lot easier to use. And i don’t know how you could come to the conclusion that the plasma caster was a take on the plasma launcher , one was designed for indirect fire and the other was a sort of fire and forget system.
I would be very happy for it to make a return.
