I’ve got a cool new idea for an armor ability for halo Xbox one:
Name: espionage
Description: intercept enemy comms chatter for valuable field intel
Actual function: activating this armor ability would allow the user to briefly listen in on what enemy players are saying to each other over their headsets during match making. This would allow you to hear conversations regarding tactical maneuvers being planned by enemy players… Or just over hear an annoying conversation. Lol.
A possible armor perk to combat this armor ability could be “scramble” which prevents enemy Spartans from listening in on your conversations, but it only works when the armor mod is equipped on a loadout being used at that moment.
What does everyone else think??
Useless because not everyone uses mics, or are in parties. The point of party is to keep other players out, so no this is not a cool ability. Sorry.
Nope and it is another COD feature! COD4 had it called Eavesdrop! It was useless then and we DONT want even more COD Stuff in Halo!
Personal Ordnance needs to be gone in Halo 5 too

actually a lot of xbox 360 games that were out before cod 4 had that kind of thing because there wernt any parties.
if halo 5 didn’t allow parties it could be useful
please stop refering to cod, nothing in cod is originally cod so no reason to even think of it.
I have never played any of the cod games… So this is news to me. I still think it would be cool. If the enemy team isn’t chatting or in a party, then yea it would be useless. That’s part of the risk in equipping and using the ability.

This, so much this!
> if halo 5 didn’t allow parties it could be useful
It’d be just as useless, because many/most people who jump into parties, would disable their mics.

I don’t know how many times I’ve had to explain this.
No one is under the illusion that Call of Duty invented any of the features which Halo 4 has adopted.
The reason CoD comparisons are made is simply because CoD is the game to beat right now; CoD is where the money is at; CoD is where the popularity of shooters is at.
Other developers are attempting to cash in on that success by trying to incorporate the features which CoD is best known for into their own games.
It has nothing to do with believing that CoD was the first to use those features, and everything to do with the fact that those features were probably “borrowed” because of their popularity in today’s most popular shooter.
The reason people criticize the decision to adopt the features which CoD is best known for is not because they feel that they are being stolen from CoD games,
it is because they are being incorporated into a game (Halo 4) which is not based upon the same type of gameplay or player values.
They are being incorporated at the expense of gameplay which works.

Parties are controlled by Xbox live, not a specific game. It would be unfair to force people out of parties when playing certain games.
