On top of a couple new maps. How about bringing back the Elephant as a unit for Captain Cutter, like he had in Halo Wars 1. Considering he doesn’t really have anything special about him like other Captains. Jerome is awesome, but he is also leader, and can also be on the field with his Omega Team when you choose him as a leader, on top of having the Mastadon. Another example…
Johnson has bunkers, and himself, as well as Mech units. What does Cutter really have?
Give him the Elephant back from Halo Wars 1. Require the user to use a Leader Point to unlock it at his base. Level 2 base required to build it. Allow him to build a couple more ODST units out of the Elephant on top of regular Marines, while the long recharge time for the ODST recharges.
After reading the January Update (https://www.halowaypoint.com/en-us/news/halo-wars-2-january-update) it seems somewhat clear that their bottleneck is not on ideas or suggestions on what should or could be done - but on a lack of manpower. The post makes constant remarks about having to juggle other projects (such as MCC) from the sounds of it I’d be surprised if the team still working on HW2 is anymore than 5 people.
Don’t get me wrong I’d love to see some of your suggestions come to reality.
Really it just makes me sad that, as a programmer, I cannot help better this game. As there are absolutely no modding support features or avenues for growth. Looks like I’ll have to start “figuring out how to decrypt/unpack/repack its content files and modify save game files to do all sorts of crazy stuff” xD
