Frankie has said, that’s its kind of obvious, so I think that it will be Michael Salvatori, as he has worked on the series before and will be able to bring new music and existing music to the game!

This is one of the most feasible composer suggestions I’ve heard. The other one I’d suspect is the guy who worked on Halowars’ soundtrack. That game’s soundtrack was also pretty good- great music for the ambient levels, and even better music during the CGI cutscenes. All still very Halo at the core.
Really, I’d love to have any composers who have worked on Halo music return. So long as they return to more traditional themes than Reach’s. Reach’s soundtrack was alright, but I think it paled to -every- other Halo game. Too much mili-tech styling for my tastes.

He is partners with AMrtin O’donnel, and just accepted a full time job with Bungie to work directly with Marty on Bungie’s next project. He is not the composer.
If frankie said it’s obvious, so it is obvious to assume that the new composer is Harry Gregson-Williams, who worked with tojima in MGS… And I hope I’m right, I love his work!
