So this week’s (or last week’s) community update is out from bravo but there is ZERO news about progress being made on fixing the still broken MCC. How is this possible? At least give us something acknowledging that the game is still being worked on. Hundreds of people are reporting not being able to enter matchmaking due to the “downloading data” bug, others are getting ranks reset to 1 from 47 or whatever they have put the time in to achieve. In game emblems are messed up, the game randomly freezes and crashes, matchmaking times are slow, too many games lag and are not hosted by dedicated servers, pvp games end if host quits, if other team quits in ranked, and you win, you rank down, achievements don’t unlock properly, I could go on and on and on and on. Why completely abandon fixing this embarrassment of a game or at least pretend that you are trying to?
While the game seems to work fine for me but I see others still having issues so I am beginning to wonder if it is fixable.

Yeah seems pretty rough, I’ve been having a few great games but it could definitely be improved, I spend as much time searching for matches and waiting for things to connect as I do actually playing, and being guaranteed a local dedicated server is something MCC really needs, would fix so many of the issues that come with laggy P2P host.
I typed a really long ranting paragraph and my browser crashed -__-
Anyways, long story short it’s ridiculous that they are continually treating fans this way. They sold an incomplete game, and while it is now mostly playable, it’s far from what anyone would consider optimal. But hey, at least we got to play ODST again (woohoo…) I havent played in weeks and I dont know how much more I will do so. This company has slowly ruined this franchise for me and countless other fans who have been here since day 1, and it’s a real shame. So much potential.

I was tweeting Bravo, asking if there will be a June CU, and now asking if there will be a July CU since about mid-June…almost daily. No response. Try again tmrw I guess.

Its ridiculous that you even have to take to twitter to get blown off by him. Neither Bungie or BS Angel blatantly ignored the forums as bad as Bravo seems to.

I tend to agree, though my gripe is that they have never established where it is that they consider their primary place to communicate with us. So, to suggest they’re not all that concerned with communicating with us or vice versa is far from a reach; it’s pretty clear. But I digress, because it’s not getting a response to such a simple, but relevant question that I find truly ridiculous.
It’d be one thing if i asked two or three times, then complained I was ignored. I understand Bravo gets hundreds if not thousands of tweets per day. That’s why I decided to send him my short and simple question once per day, so he would eventualy notice and respond, but the part about him responding was apparently quite a naive assumption on my part. Noted.
Also just noticed the blog page was removed. I don’t think we will see many more updates with TMCC since backward compatibility and Halo 5 right around the corner.
Blogs has been merged with news by the looks of it now, makes it a little cleaner. You can filter blog types on the right hand side. None for community or content updates though, that might be a good one for them to add to that list as well

Thanks for pointing this out. I missed that that had happened. I still really wish they would bring back the “Discuss” link at the bottom of the community updates. It would be nice to have a central place to go to to discuss them. As it is now there are multiple threads created. They like cleaner? That would be cleaner.

Yeah, what they need to do is clear out the News forum and fix the permissions - this was reported a few times back when the site relaunched but was never fixed (same with Matchmaking Feedback forums, that was static threads and now it’s just a mess). I miss a lot of news because I just don’t visit the blogs section all the time. In fact, just yesterday I made a feature request for RSS feeds to come back because of that.
Yep. 343 has told us that the MCC team is completely independent from other studio projects, and that Halo 5 development and other things would not get in the way of MCC’s support.
I know you may find this hard to believe… but it seems like 343 wasn’t telling the truth. ( < sarcasm)

All these bugs are still common, and quite fixable, 343 just doesn’t put in the effort. They are all about halo 5 now, those scumbags.

I’m sorry you feel that way. I for one think it was a great decision, an act of good will from 343, and I know many people who are thoroughly enjoying playing through it together in 1080p/60fps. But regardless, these fixes have to take precedence over new contact. They were doing a good job at that for a while, but June has went by with no CU, and July is 1/3 of the way through, and we haven’t heard a word. Very disappointing.
