Alright, so the campaign levels in Halo Infinite are going to be massive. With this in mind, the possibility of new collectibles besides skulls might become a thing. What might these collectibles be? Terminals and datapads are likely, as those have made past appearances. IIRC, you can upgrade the MC as well, so upgrade things might also be included as well. Wild card idea, but maybe you’ll be able to find hidden customization options for your MP spartan in the campaign as well. It could happen, but it’s all just speculation. What are your guys’ thoughts?
Maybe dogs tags like Gears? Maybe even some scattered war journals. It would be cool to see a fight from a marines POV fighting against Brutes and Jackals when suddenly a Spartan shows up kicks -Yoink- and just as quickly leaves.
I kinda loved the goofy toys in the Halo 2 Anniversary. Would have been neat to pick them up, kind of like the bobbleheads in Doom.
I think there’s something inherently fun about picking something up and beating your friends with it. Or trying to get it to the end of the mission on Legendary etc.
Honestly I love the idea of having Skulls,
Terminals,
Data Logs of Marines so we can catch up on what happens with them
and some sort of other data log that informs us of things in regards to what happened to the sangheili.
Remember in Halo: CE when Chief first encounters the Flood? He inserts a video log in his helmet from a fallen marine and you get a quick montage of this guy’s horror lost footage essentially.
I would like it if maybe you could find more video logs like that across the campaign from fallen allies, and have the footage piece together some side story going on in the game, like the audio logs from ODST.
We should be able to find a few video logs from marines, just like the one on 343 Guilty Spark.
Not so many that it’s gimmicky. More like 3-4 with some super cool moments that give extra detail on a main story mission.
Bonus points if one or two of the videos are from marines we find still alive and they just lost their helmet.
