New Campaign Concepts

So it seems that Halo Infinite may be introducing new ideas into the core gameplay of the campaign, and although we have only seen a brief glimpse of some of the up front gameplay there may also be a ton of stuff that is in play behind the scenes that will directly affect the Master Chief and his story. What would everyone like to see or maybe even just speculate may be in store for us later this year?
I’d like to cover this concept extensively leading up to the games release and would like to hear the Halo communities input on things and not just my own.
If you want to more closely follow my thoughts and news of Halo Infinite, you can find me posting here: Halo Wave - YouTube
Can’t wait to see what everyone would like to see in the game! very excited for the game myself! tell me with a reply what you guys want/expect!

We’ve seen in the gameplay trailer that for the first time we will have upgrades. I hope they won’t be boring upgrades, like more health and damage, better shields… honestly, I think that could ruin the flow of the campaign. One thing I don’t want in Halo is to explore off the beaten path just to find an overleveled grunt that I can’t tackle now because I didn’t upgrade my health and damage enough.

What I hope is that upgrades will merely let me optimize the abilities of Master Chief in order to favor my playstyle. I’ve talked about it in another thread, but for example, suppose that I want to play more stealthily. Maybe I could pick upgrades to the camouflage armor ability that raised its duration, lowered its cooldown time and enabled me to use it while sprinting.

Other playstyles that could be optimized through upgrades could be: defensive (related to deployable shields and overshields), aggressive (more ammo, more nades), enhanced mobility (grappleshot, possibly a thruster), vehicle combat (faster, more durable vehicles).

I agree with the points your making. The idea of dying to an overleveled grunt is funny but I also would not like to meet my doom like that lol

I like to see smart A.I.
Leading a fireteam through commands.
Funny Brute Dialog

Being able to lead fireteams was one of the features I want to see back as well! Marine, ODST, any unit lol

Give me marine sections
Give me vehicle sections similar to Halo 3s set pieces.

I always liked the vehicle convoy sections, but I also want marine platoon foot battles. Halo CE had some of the best like the silent cartographer opening and leading marines on the control room mission, and same with Truth and Rec. Newer Halo games have those types of sections, that I also LOVE, but for some reason they don’t feel quite the same, I can’t put my finger on it.
