I was thinking of the idea as Brute’s being possible allies in the future of the Halo to help stop the “Ancient Evil” (Timeless one).
Basically the character would serve as the “leader” and represent them similar to how Arbiter represents his people.
The character would be much different than Arbiter though being more along the lines of Tarturus from Halo 2. He was a jerk but he did his job.
I believe the different species will ally to fight the Timeless one in the future because it was harped upon by Cortana in Halo Legends ( Origins) that the universal theme of Halo is that different groups will ally together to defeat the “common enemy”
Allied with the Brutes? HA!
The only way I’d accept those worthless animals as any kind of ally is if they always go first and play the part of the meat shield.

Cool idea. But I’ll like it better on the original halo trilogy, unless covenant will appear in halo 4.
They might ally together but each will fight separately, like in halo 3 or in WW2 where the Brits Americans and Canadians fought for their own objectives and stayed separate, never were placed in a homogeneous group. Kept separate till the end of the war.
Think it’d be an uneasy union of them like the Elites with Humans in halo 3 except more unstable
I think it would be a thickener to the plot for sure, an unappreciated alliance between humans, elites and brutes would be interesting- the Chief having to constantly break up disputes between Arby and whatever lead character is introduced.

Could be a rogue Brute, just like the Heretic Elite in Halo 2.
Never believe that every member of the same species shares the same level of hate towards their enemy. There’s always a sympathizer.
I don’t really picture him as being a heretic more along the lines of a strong centralized leader with enough power to control most of his people (like the arbiter), but as a character more brute characteristics and along the lines of Tarturus as that jerk ally you had in Halo 2. You didn’t really like him even when he fought alongside you but at least he was there.
It would be nice to gather every known species, form an alliance, and fight the “ancient evil”. Maybe à la Mass Effect ? But I think it won’t be possible in Halo 4, maybe in Halo 5/6.
