I like its new, more modern style, but I really don’t like how it is turning into a FAMAS style rifle of sorts. I personally think that Halo guns should not be based on real (ESPECIALLY French) guns, and should be of their own inspiration and design.
I gotta say though, it does look pretty damn cool nonetheless.
Definitely Schmexy. I liked Halo 3’s, but the new one is just drop-dead gorgeous!
P.S. to those about to rage… no COD isn’t my favourite game, no I don’t prefer Mass Effect and yes I am a true Halo fan!!
Actually, the classic BR was more grounded in reality while the new BR has been given a sci-fi coat of paint. That is why I love the new look.

I love it, not much more to it. It looks more futuristic which is what is supposed to look like, it is the future.
I won’t lie, I rather miss the old BR design.

Yup. Standard service rifle of the French military, 5.56mm NATO caliber, accepts M16 style mags.
Not a fan of the new scope or the yellow stripe, the overall design looks a bit like the reach Ar to me.

It has subtle Reach influences which I don’t like.

I agree, the new BR leans toward a more futuristic sci-first look and looks better than the realistic BR in H2 n 3.
I think they did some things right with the design, while doing others wrong. It really does look too much like the FAMAS now. They should have made the BR look a little more like the old version, especially on the rail.

LoL wat? the old BR55 had no ejection port, a completely nonsensical upper receiver, a gas piston that would be disrupted by the trigger group, a bolt carrier that would knock teeth out every time you fire assuming its a reciprocating bolt, the bolt it swlf would blow a hole in your shoulder blade, and an inexplicably wide magazine for such a short round.
the new BR still has the same inexplicably wide magazine however at least has a gas system with some sense to it and an ejection port properly proportioned therefore the upper receiver would not explode from the lack of room for the bolt to cycle.
and yes it has some vent on the rail system for reason, but hey nothing wrong with maintaining the Sci fi aesthetic 
anyway I don’t care for burst weapons I hope the DMR is cool.

I like the new Battle Rifle. It looks… all cool and sci-fi, like what Toa Freak said. I’m not quite sure what specifically I like about the new design, but I just like it.
I think with a round scope it’d look a lot better.
