I like it. The look is very fresh and sci fi, unlike the stock black that it used to have.
The snubbed, shorter look reminds me of the Halo 2 battle rifle, whereas the Halo 3 era battle rifle was more pointy, as was the DMR.
I’m interested that Franky said that the Battle Rifle wasn’t a replacement for the DMR. Cryptic. If there are two different utility headshot rifles, maybe the SMG will return as the automatics answer to that.
I like it to. To me it finally has a good design. The other 2 were way to skinny, and looked liked a striped down weapon.
To me its overdesigned, too much geometry and needless shapes. The original BR is focused, beautiful and believable. This new BR looks like a kids toy gun, all flash no substance.

Wow…I completely disagree. I dont even bear the slightest agreement with anything you said. THIS is awesome looking.
The DMR was a pre-battle riffle. It was like the first stage.
yes it looks more modern than the previous one which looked from like nowadays also i luv the sound it makes !!!
I like em both, but the new one looks like it fits with the time just a little bit more.
I liked the round scope better, but the other parts look much more visually appealing. The issue I have with the square scope is that it just looks too much like the Type-95 from CoD. It’s really not a big deal though.
I love everything about it.
The new crosshair is a refreshing change and the darker blue is much more preferable.
Futuristic look.
Superb graphics.
HUD display is pleasant to look at.
Seems to have a fast rof.
I’m just disappointed that there doesn’t seem to be a single shot firing mode at this point.
Everything about Halo 4, design wise, is better than the previous Halos in my opinion
If you look at the silhouette of the new BR it looks like the AR, I like that.

Same here, except it reminds me of the FAMAS with Holographic sight from MW2 instead.
Overall, I think it looks great, the only two things that I don’t like though are the yellow stripe and the square optic. The yellow stripe seems more Reach-like, and fits the graphics and overall scheme and art of the game- more rugged, more dullish colors, beat up and scratched up armor, and more focus on the ruggedness and outdated weapons that the Army uses in comparison to the Marines.
That’s just my opinion, and how I feel. And the square optic looks a little weird- like a cross between a low power scope and a holographic sight.

Considering the amount of hate CoD gets around here, it’s surprising to see two around these parts.
I like the square sight. I think it looks kinda cool and high tech.
It looks much modern, futuristic and much, much better than that old ugly BR that looked like a gun from WWII when Halo is hundreds of years in the future. I hope all the weapons look as nice as the new BR.

Same here.

Oh I hate CoD, I just play it occasionally to remind myself that I need to protect Halo from becoming like it.

it is fresh looking, largely because of that light blue scope

But you knew exactly what one of the specific and numerous guns from the game looked like…?
If you play CoD, it isn’t something you need to actively be ashamed of. We’re all civilized here.
