I suppose having 4 different reskinned assault rifles isn’t? Weapon variety is pointless if every new gun does the same thing as the one before it.

Nothing’s really wrong with it.
It’s old. It’s a new trilogy, people want more guns. Keep the same weapons, and Halo will become CoD.
We’re gonna be on a Forerunner homeworld with likely no UNSC or Covenant. We want all new weapons. Yes, we all love the traditional sandbox, and we want it in Multiplayer and even some in Campaign. But expansion is key to a new game.

No, I didn’t say that. Obviously a Battle Rifle functions differently than a Halo: CE Magnum, as does a DMR, as well as the Halo 2 and Halo 3 Magnums. Every iteration of the Assault Rifle has been different, as have both versions of the SMG. This isn’t 2001, this is 2011… almost 2012. Like I said before, we need variety. I’d like to have the option to pick up either a Plasma Rifle or a Brute Plasma Rifle, depending on my mood. Both function well in different ways. The same goes with say, a Carbine or a Needle Rifle.

Because a knife can totally pierce through Energy Shields and power armor. Okay, hero.

Problem is that a lot of those weapons fill the same niche. So what will you do when you’re faced with the choice between a Plasma Rifle and an Assault Rifle? They perform the same function, so which do you use? Eventually, a lot of those weapons just become unused except by a very small portion of the online community. The Spiker in Halo 3 was a perfect example.

Plasma Rifles are better in tighter spaces than Assault Rifles, as they drain shields faster, but are terrible on armor. It is the opposite for the Assault Rifle. I learned this the hard way on Snowbound.

Because it’s a new game, i’m tired of everything looking the same since halo CE, they should at least make the weapons look different even if they shoot the same

You really need to get out of the past dude do u think it would honestly be better to have the same guns for like 20 years by the time the series is done I’m pretty sure the series would’ve died in Halo 2
