New attatchment system...

How would you spartans react to a loadout system, where each of your loadout weapons has multiple attatchment options rather than just the two (scope/other attatchment). So now, you will have:
~Scope-projection, CQB (SMG scope), recon, longshot, sentinal
~Muzzle-silencer, kinetic bolts, stabilizer, extended barrel
~Tactical-laser targeter, extended mag, bayonet

This system could fit into the game, maybe it couldn’t, but it would be cool having a silenced SMG with an energy bayonet along with the advanced sensors armor mod=ultimate Halo assasin with zero req energy cost. What do you think?

Basically turn it into the Call of Duty attachment system? Good luck with convincing the rest of the community that it’s a good idea.

I like the idea but I’d have to agree that there’s already enough COD elements in Halo already…

Why does this community pick and choose what makes Halo more like COD? Many people said sprint made Halo like COD, and that got dismissed almost immediately by fans saying that Halo does sprint well and COD also just happens to have it.

How is this any different?

Halo 5 is very different than COD, and much better in my opinion. Halo 5 has actual battles where COD is mostly instant death. The new loudout system is awesome, gives slight variety and allows people to have a more customized experience, which it what the new generation wants.
Lastly, complaining about sprinting? I get it…for some reason the Halo playing community thinks “Reach” is greatest game ever made and every year they should just come out with Reach 2, 3 and 4 and only change the maps because it’s so perfect…yeah, yeah I got it. When I go back and play reach, I get so frustrated that I can’t move! I can’t climb anything or escape from anything! And it takes forever to get anywhere! Get over it! Halo is becoming a better game. They’ll continue to change and tweek things and if you don’t like the new Halo games, well congrats, you have 8 other Halo games you can play!

(But yes you did screw pooch by taking away offline play and split screen!)

I’d be okay with this, although I think it might be too late to implement this now.

This^ If anything, I could see this in future Campaigns, Spartan Ops, and Firefight if anything. But just not Multiplayer.

It’s so goofy folks say “That is too COD”. So instead of picking a DMR, then equipping the attachment we now just sort through 987 DMR’s with different attachments. It’s the same thing. We get stuck with this laggy UI selecting through all these weapons because 343 knew you guys would freak out about loadouts.
