This is a great opportunity for Bungie to include Army units (UNSC Airborne) in Halo: Reach that have been mentioned in their graphic books or in the game when looking at the stats on specialized equipment. I think the unit in the mission Long Night of Solace when they board the super carrier with Jorge to plant the slip space bomb could be given a new model that represents the UNSC Airborne and that the new model could replace other Army unit models at key missions to represent them as being a specialized unit like the ODSTs.
I just think the PC version of the game shouldn’t be a direct port of the consoles and that it would be cool to see some cosmetic changes to the Army units and actually get some known units into the game. I know it may not happen at all, but doesn’t hurt to bring it up.

That beings said, they’re not going to do anything other than port Reach into the MCC. That’s the only thing they’re doing. The ONLY way you’d see them adding or changing content would be if they were doing an Anniversary remaster of the game, which they’re not. Given that 343i seemed VERY adamant against making a Halo 3 Anniversary and the cost of H2A (and the subsequent disappointment that the MCC was at launch), I very much doubt we’ll see one.

Thanks for the head’s up about the proper forum. I just submitted it again in the proper spot. I agree that it will be a direct port, but like I said, doesn’t hurt to throw it out there.
