I was wondering if master chief will look like this now because of the new graphical overlay because that armour is the mark IV it’s just what it would look like if it were made today minus the right shoulder both of the shoulders should be the left one, however I know some people wouldn’t like his armour being tampered with but I personally prefer that halo warz mark IV it looks so technical and fits the current time frame. here’s another look at the armour but from different angles
I just hope they keep the armour in proportion to the original.
I mean, if you watch the trailer and compare the 2001 Mark V helmet with the 2011 Mark V helmet, the new look is drastically different to the old look
No, Mark IV is not how Mark V would look like with better graphics, just look at Halo Reach and of course the model we already saw of Chief in OXM.

Welcome to June. Frankie confirmed way back then that the helmet was fixed, and we have already seen it in OXM, the armor looks the same as it did in the original game, just with much more detail.
Even if it is not it is still an amazing set of armour and should be taken into the consideration for his new graphical overlay.
> Even if it is not it is still an amazing set of armour and should be taken into the consideration for his new graphical overlay.
No, it shouldn’t, that is Mark IV. Chief wears Mark V. They have already said that they didn’t want to mess with his image and we have already seen the final model in OXM.
Why not it looks really nice. Ok maybe not his upper body but his lower body yes.
> Why not it looks really nice. Ok maybe not his upper body but his lower body yes.
Let me break it down.
It
is
not
Mark V
it
is
Mark IV

No need to be rude my friend he is just saying that armor would look really cool if it was in Halo CEA.
I’m not limited I understood you the first time I recognise that it is not Mark V but how can you not even want some aspect of the armour to be included in the new G overlay there is nothing wrong with it just because in the halo universe it is different to the Mark V doesn’t mean it shouldn’t be taken in to consideration at all, stop being close minded you cannot deny the fact that it does look amazing and looks more advanced that the Mark V. I don’t give a crap if it is not Mark V IT LOOKS BETTER THAN MARK V. It looks like a more updated version.

Thank you
Stop fussing about John’s bloody armour!
Nobody seemed to care when Thel’s armour magically changed colour, sprouted a flashlight and some mandible guards for no reason in Halo 3. Nobody gave a toss that portions of John’s armour were changed from Halo 2 to 3 (gauntlets, for example). What about Cortana? Why has her appearance been constantly changing?
And what about replacing Michael Wincott with Terrance Stamp for Truth? Did Truth’s balls drop whilst aboard the Dreadnaught on the way to Earth?
It is all simply change. Change comes and change goes as enhancements are made over the years to the series. Stop crying about it, I for one love the new look of John’s armour because Mark VI in Halo 2 and 3 looked pretty awful.

I can’t link to a scan, that’s against the rules, just look it up.

1.People did complain, but hey maybe he got new armor or upgraded it.
2.Yet again, people did complain, but that was a small artistic change.
3.Cortana can change her appearance at will.
4.They wanted a more crazed sounding actor.
5.What new armor are you even talking about? Halo 4? Because this is a topic about Halo CEA and Frankie already said that the new armor in Halo 4 is part of the plot.
Anyways, why would they redo Chief’s Mark V armor to look like Mark IV? That makes no sense, this is a remake and they stated that one of the big things they didn’t want to mess up was Chief. If they redesigned it to look more like Mark IV I would literally give up Halo because of 343. But guess what, 343 isn’t dumb.

Very few people complained at all. Now people are sparking off because of a non-canonical CGI trailer.
-
Again, very few complained because they deemed it insignificant to them. Why should Halo 4 be a different case?
-
Simply an excuse by Bungie for changing her appearance.
-
Pretty ridiculous, Truth sounded infinitely better in Halo 2 when Wincott was voicing him.
-
It appears I misinterpreted whether this was about Halo CEA or 4. Even still, the armour in CEA looks nothing like Mark IV except for the shoulders.
Why would you “give up” on Halo if 343 made a few aesthetic changes? It doesn’t matter at all, Mark VI looks awful, I welcome any change they make to it. The Mark V helmet looks different in Halo 3 and Reach, as do the shoulder pads in the latter. Why is there all this pointless complaining and empty threats to “quit” just because of a few minor tweaks?

The topics have a little bar on the side that say what game they are for…
I would quit because it would show they have no respect for Halo when they want to change the first game. But guess what, they aren’t changing that because they aren’t stupid.
And we aren’t freaking talking about Halo 4.
We aren’t arguing about it looking like Mark IV, it looks nothing like Mark IV. The OP wants it to look like Mark IV and I am telling him it shouldn’t and won’t. I am not trying to attack you but if you want to take part in a conversation at least try to understand what is going on first.

Changing John’s armour to look aesthetically similar to Mark IV would “show they have no respect for Halo”? No it wouldn’t, it really wouldn’t.
Hypothetically, if they were to keep everything else about CEA the same as the original except the armour, you would feel as if 343 have no respect for the series at all?

You really don’t understand, do you? This is a remake for the fans and to show their respect for the franchise. To do anything wrong, especially redesigning the main character’s suit of armor, his identity, to look like a completely different suit of armor would show that they lack the respect they claim they have. But as I have said before they have already shown that they aren’t doing something stupid like that.
