New Armor!!!!

As you guys know, there is an armor overhaul done for Halo Infinite with a mix of old and new art styles… I am wondering what armor you want to return to Halo. My favorite is FOTUS, so we will have to see if that makes a return.

Deadeye for some reason peaked my interest when I heard it was first available “on through preorder” back when halo 4 first came out.

but for anybody who didn’t know, game of the year halo 4 editions unlocked all armor, skins, loadouts and emblems

Gen 2 Warrior and Recruit variants for me

Well FOTUS armor is just way too OP… you can’t have an armor meant for the underground corporate wars of Seattle finding its way into Infinite. None would survive…

I would like to see a rework of the Reach EOD. That was one of my favorite armors of all time. The second would be a rework of Halo 3 security.

I usually don’t wanna use the default armor, because it feels more fun to use something you earned, but this one looks sooooo good, so I might just stick with it depending on the rest of the designs.

I would like to see the CQB armor make a return or have something new added to it.

Athlon and any mark V style armor (the new mark VII is a good one for this)

Classics like Recon, Scout, EOD, EVA, CQB, Security, etc. are “musts,” while it would certainly be welcome for there to be updates (more informed by classic designs IMO to match the rest of the art style we’ve seen) for permutations like Commando, Grenadier, Operator, Hazop, JFO, Pilot, etc. from the Reach school.

I do think that some of the 343i Era designs to date are certainly good to make a comeback, too. Designs like Recruit, Aviator, Warrior, Raider, and a handful of others don’t (IMO) look terribly out of place amidst the classic helmets. The key for me seems to be how much/how conventional the visor is on the 343i helmets- the less visor or the stranger the implementation for the visor, the less the helmets seem “Halo,” to me. Using that rough rule of thumb, it’s pretty easy to find the designs that should carry forward into a more retro-inspired art style.

As for the FOTUS armor in particular? I think it’s wonky and goofy as - Yoink!-, personally, but it certainly has its fans. If Hayabusa (I have similar feelings about this armor) gets to come back for its diehard fanboys, FOTUS ought to come back for its loyal legions as well. I won’t be using either, myself, but I would be happy for everyone who wants them back to see them.

Can’t wait to see what Helljumper looks like in the new art style

GEN 3 SPI Mk 2.0
Improving upon the original SPI armor issued to most of the third class od Spartans, the Mk 2.0 has been brought up to current powered armor standards. The new armor armor features many improvements over its predecessor, albeit with a lack of the infamous photo-reactive camoflauging. The Mk 2.0 features enhanced armor plating matrices and full combat rated energy shielding. Its a blast from the past, but with a modern flare.

As far as which armor would return, I want to see Lockes GEN 2 HUNTER variant available in MP. Its is, by far, my favorite armor. Love the sleek, stealthy looks; an F22 Raptor with legs.

I hope Hellcat doesn’t get left behind. I love the lore behind it and really want to see it stick around, even if it gets a redesign.

I’d go for the EVA/Orbital armor if I can. I love Fotus, but I’ve been the Fishbowl guy since Reach.

The Fotus armor wasn’t bad but I think it might be a little hard to imagine in Infinite since the old art style didn’t really have Covenant or Forerunner themed mjolnir variants. But one thing I see with 343 is they’re always open to trying new things so anything is possible. The only armor variants I want at this time is the ones Kelly and Linda were seen wearing in Halo Shadows of Reach’s cover art.
