Maybe I just missed them talking about it in the livestream. But does anyone know what the new armor mod “wheelman” will do?
I believe it reduces the time an emp last if the drive of said vehicle is using said armor mod. I also hear it increases vehicle strength but I’m not sure about it.
It will probably do the same thing it did in Halo 4 when it was a perk. Back then, Wheelman increased the durability of any vehicle you drive and if you got hit by an EMP you were disabled for only half the normal amount of time.
I’m hoping that Wheelman also includes the perk survivor, which made it so that you eject from a vehicle if it blows up. This way you can get revenge on those cheeky -Yoinks!- who camp outside vehicle spawns just to blow up tanks.
I don’t know but I am guessing that it will be the same as it was in Halo 4.
EMP is shorter and you get ejected before the vehicle explodes if I recall correctly.
They could have changed it though.
Edit: Oh ok, that part is was Survivor.
Halo 4 had its moments but I didn’t like armour mods / support packages.

Thanks to all three of you for the answer. The survivor perk would be awesome ^^

That was the survivor perk.

Yeah edited my post after reading that.
It all blends together for me, I thought Halo 4’s best aspect was its Campaign.
It’ll probably increase the durability of your vehicle and make the EMP shorter.
Banshee ultras just got a wholllleee lot harder to kill
I wonder if 3 people have Wheelman turned on in a warthog if the boosts multiply? That would make the ONI hogs pretty unfrgginbelievable.
I believe Wheelman, in H4, (1) decreased EMP effectiveness on a vehicle, (2) decreased shield recharge time (I.e. mantis and banshee), and (3) also decreased the cooldown times for turret guns on vehicles. It did not increase durability.

R.I.P My only Hannibal Mantis, you will be missed.
If this is what it does I think the only time I will use it will be on aerial vehicles and maybe a gauss hog or ONI hog. I’ll still stick to my advanced sensors for all other ground vehicles. It would be a nice perk in a banshee or phaeton though.

I’ve taken out a Hannibal as it came out of it’s spawn, but I wasn’t camping. I rushed at is as soon as I saw it coming out, I barely missed getting hit by it’s main gun and tossed a Splinter at it, I boarded, I planted a grenade and jumped off. I think I probably pissed a guy off.

I’d call you a spawn-killer, but that would make me kind of a hypocrite.

There was something like this in halo 4. It might be the EMP will will die down faster or you will be thrown out of the vehicle before it explodes, and that could be very helpful.
So 343 hasn’t been informative again, shock. If they have, apologies 343.

It will be exactly like the one in Halo 4

You got 'em both. I would commend you. If I had any commendations to give.

^ Yes! Survivor was an awesome perk for that!
