There’s a rumor going around that there will be new additions to the Reach armory in the future. The rumor originally was that this upcoming Title Update would include new goodies such as:
-Frost Armor effect (Ice around the visor, white mist around body)
-A certain helmet that IGN was tossing around pictures of (not sure if mentioning the name of the helmet is taboo on 343 forums?)
-More spartan armor variants
-Elite Armor variants (shoulders, helmets, chest-pieces, the works. No I’m not kidding)
Naturally I am extremely skeptical. Rumors are crap, and 343 has not even hinted at any new armor in their TU announcements.
So I’m creating this topic here (I don’t know of a better way to go about casually asking someone who works for 343, so here it goes). Does 343 have the ability to update Reach with any more armor variants/ effects? If this is IMPOSSIBLE for 343, please confirm this and put these dumb rumors to bed. No need to have your community all antsy and riled up waiting for something that’s never going to happen, huh? Do us a solid and tell us all about it. Knowledge is power.

Even if new armor won’t be coming in the next update, it is nice to think about possibilities of what might be. That frost effect sounds pretty good, though I’m still wanting the red/copper/crimson visor, whatever people will describe it as.

Yeah if you’re browsing these forums, chances are you’ve heard about the new Title Update and what is being updated. No news of armor, I’m already aware of that. Still would like to hear some words from a 343 forum ninja if inclusion of new armor is IMPOSSIBLE or not. If it is not possible to include any more new armor options into matchmaking, I won’t be upset! I promise. Reach offers plenty of armor options as it is. Just let us know, you know?
They have added 13 new ranks to halotracker.com i’m not sure if that means new ranks with the TU or CEA or its just new ranks they made for the site, but if they add new ranks i’m sure they would add some armor cause you can get 100% armor before u hit max rank and you have all those extra cR.

My guess is that those ranks are only for the Halotracker site, and WOW do they require a lot of credits. I used their fancy NEW credit-calculator thing which tells me approximately how long it might take to attain some of those ranks, and HOLY CRUD. I learned that the rate I play Halo will allow me to reach Inheritor rank in about 2.7 YEARS. Haha.

its going to take me 4.3 years lol i don’t think i’m ever going to be a inheritor.
i would love for them to add more elite stuff and deffinatly more visor colors i want purple, pink, tyedye, etc . Ultimatly if they do or dont it wont affect the way i play at all im at almost 1 month of playtime and the game hasnt been out a year yet im dying to get me a haunted helmet : )
Personally, I would also like to see some new armors with the [R] variant, or perhaps different forms of the [R]. Perhaps something that isn’t quite so skeletal?
