New Armor Ability Ideas

While some Armor Abilities feel broken or slow down the pace of combat, I feel that in general they are fun to use and improve the combat experience. People may argue otherwise, but this thread is dedicated to coming up with new armor abilities simply for the fun of it. You can revise current armor abilities, or simply come up with your own.

Recon Pulse (Revised Promethean Vision)
Gameplay Mechanics: Works just like Promethean Vision unless stated otherwise. Rather than activating for a certain duration, it release a single pulse. The pulse only reveals a single “frame” of an enemy at the time they were scanned unless they are in direct line of sight, which he will be highlighted in real-time like normal Promethean Vision. This means the single frame only gives an approximation of the enemy’s location at that point of scan, and doesn’t account for the enemy moving away from the scanned location.

Any enemies spotted directly will be highlighted unless they are cloaked. Through walls, enemies that are cloaked, standing still, or moving very slowly (crouch-walking) only have a faint outline like the current Promethean Vision against a cloaked enemy.

This is just an example of revising a currently existing armor ability. I want to hear your ideas on armor abilities.

Perhaps an anti-gravity emitter.It would create a radius around the player without gravity.This would disorientate enemy players and objects around set on physics ‘normal’ would float for realism.The player whom has activated the ability will be unaffected.The deactivation of current gravity settings in the radius will be violent pushing enemy players upwards and keeping them there for a limited time.Hitting ceilings will perhaps reduce 25% of the enemy’s shields.

I want something that’s out of this world. Something fancy with style but yet powerful. Maybe a Brute type of AA, I just don’t know exactly what.

The thruster pack is quite a dynamic capability and can change the face of combat very quickly.However,I have sometimes felt the burst of speed over a specified distance is slower than walking,except it can be done instantly,hence capability to use it in mid-air.I as an avid user of this AA have used this to counter rear opponents which I have noticed on my radar and pull off an evasive manouevre as they close in for an assassination and perform a back thruster and perform a beatdown/assassination.However the speed of which it moves the player needs to be increased by at least 25% and the capability of shooting while doing so needs to be implemented.Also allowing players to use it 2 times before needing to recharge.

Just a revision.Perhaps adding a small smoke screen to disorientate players.
