It seems to be lacking the jokes as of late.
Because it’s not really about jokes anymore, Jon seems to be going for a deep storyline the past 2 seasons.

I’m taking a lot of appreciation to the drama he is adding. Has inspired me to do well in school, and because of it, I went from D’s to A’s in English. XD

Jon’s been delving deeper into story telling for years, now, and he wants to evolve as a writer.
And besides, that’s what the Bytes were for, but Machinima had him get rid of them.
You guys need to just face it; Halo has changed. Halo 4 is what Halo is, so stop complaining.

But my statement remains true. He is tryin to evolve something that was already a great success, and now, it is a shadow of its former self. This is my point.
I’m not saying its bad. Im saying its something different from what it was expected to be.

No, it’s cause of ‘Arby n the Chief in LA’. Jon let Machinima write that season, and it was total crap. That’s where a lot of the fanbase left, sadly.
I LOVED the original Master Chief sucks at Halo videos (I think there were 3). But I’ve never really been a huge fan of Arby and the Chief. MCSAH was funny because it showed the Chief being pissed about the same stuff we get pissed about when playing in a hilarious way (like how long it took to load up the Halo 3 beta and how no one would veto Snowbound). And because the Chief was doing this as a hilarious caricature of the stereotypical annoying xbox live gamer. The second it became a show about two action figures arguing about random things in life it stopped being funny to me.

Actually, Jon admitted to writing that one. He wanted to try and go for something different with it and failed.
