New and Old characters for halo story

I wonder whats in store for Halo on the Xbox One? What old characters will make an appearance and return? What new characters will be created and brought in? Many questions with multiple possibilties? Leave your ideas and comments below?

Forerunner/Promethean Characters

Ur-Didact

In my opinion, The Ur-Didact isn’t dead. I have multiple reasons but here are a few…

One: The Ur-didact is a huge influence and a knowledgeable character in the halo universe, specifically with forerunner artifacts, technology, lifestyle, beliefs and so would be a great asset to the reclaimer saga.

Two: The Ur-Didact is a major character in Halo 4 and was only created for that game. He had so much interesting and fantasic background information that it would be a shame and waste to create and then demolish a main character. Plus battling him with scripted button commands was really under rated and pointless to say the least, especially if he is dead…

Three: The Ur-Didact has a massive influence in the Forerunner Saga Novels by Greg Bear. He creates an atmosphere and history which is revisited in Halo 4 giving the games and universe texture and believable existence. Plus he also gives players, readers and fans a look at both sides of how the halo rings and shield worlds were created, as well as the question whether xenocide (killing a species or majorly crippling a species) is okay or is life sacred thus pointing to the mantle of responsibility once again.

So after those three reasons I believe, and hope as a fan, that he still is alive; and that the Master Chief and the Ur-Didacts fates are intertwined with the universe. The mantle of responsibility definitely has a role to play in the aforementioned games, Halo 5 and Halo 6… as well as maybe Halo 7 through to Halo 9.

Bornstellar Makes Eternal Lasting (Iso-Didact)

It would be awesome to see the Iso-Didact. I personally would like him in forerunner armour that has a blue glow like the librarian and a really unique appearance. Then the two didacts could cross paths or something of that nature. It would be good to see a living forerunner helping humans or the separatists elites retake or acquire the mantle. He may have a cryptum of his own that has a blue glow as well as living builders, lifeworkers, miners all following him. Who knows?

The Librarian

According to 343 Guilty Spark, the Librarian is alive. We had seen a imprint of her at Requiem, which help Master Chief and Cortana as well as Katherine Halsey. The Librarian is a cool and mysterious character that adds enthasis and a alternative way to see how the forerunners lived plus the Ur-Didacts and Iso-Didacts kinda ironic human side.

Master Builder Faber

I thought this guy died in Flood infected space back in the Forerunner-Flood War to allow the Librarian and Iso-Didact to escape. But any and all forerunner leaders and heirarchy are awesome to see and find out about their history and their knowledge of how the universe came to be. Plus because Faber was a Master Builder he was the highest ranking singular figure in the forerunner empire as the Builder Caste was almost royalty in forerunner society. So I would like him in future games or at least references and maybe video or sound replays or flashbacks…

343 Guilty Spark

This Artificial Intelligence is by far the most slippery of the oracles. 343 Guilty Spark has been both an ally and enemy making him quite a ruthless yet interesting character. He also stands to question the foreboding question of duty versus the right thing to do… when he decides to help chief and then tries killing him for containing the flood outbreak. The current status of 343 Guilty Spark is he apparently died on the lesser Ark or Installation-00; yet when the UNSC Rubicon traveled past the ark, 343 Guilty Spark took over the ship when he was critically damaged. He put the crew to sleep, removed the UNSC AI and then planted his core into the ship thus taking control of it. The soul reason he commit this crimes was because he still believes The Librarian is alive and is using the ship to find her… Will we see him again? Hopefully, this fan wishes.

05-032 Mendicant Bias

Mendicant Bias is a huge contender-class forerunner artificial intelligence, he was created to first learn about the flood, find a weakness and then help remove and destroy the flood. He started off by being created by the Ur-Didact and the Master Builder Faber and was sent to talk to The Primordial a apparent precursor who knew about the origin and purpose of the flood. The Primordial manipulated Mendicant Bias and eventually got him to turn on his creators, quite ironic as the same fate came to the precursor beforehand, He used his intellect which decimate billions of forerunner and lead the grave mind and flood to the Greater Ark. The final status of Mendicant Bias is he was defeated in a huge naval battle and then recovered by Offensive Bias. He had been locked away beneath the Lesser Ark and guarded by the Didacts War Sphinxs. In the Covenant-Human War he had managed to use the dreadnought to control the covenant city, High Charity and then allowed the humans to open a portal the Ark. Once the dreadnought had passed through the to the Ark he reunited with his body per say and the Arks systems. He played a huge role in teleporting Master Chief to Requiem and unlocking the Ur-Didact. In my opinion, his role in the story is far from over… his role so far has been small and behind the scenes moving and positioning objects in such a way. Who knows maybe he planned for the recreation of Installation-04B…

Offensive Bias

This character is also contender-class forerunner artificial intelligence built to counter the rampant Mendicant Bias. Offensive Bias was in control of millions of forerunner naval ships. He had been outnumbered by Mendicant Bias in the majority of the war 1:6 and thus relied on intellect and tactics to outwit Mendicant. Offensive had fired the halo rings which targeted biological life and so kill Mendicant Bias’ naval strength and many of the precursor artifacts thus rendering his army and minimal threat which Offensive Bias decimated. Offensive then capture and trapped Mendicant beneath the surface of the Lesser Ark. Offensive and the other forerunner leaders converge whether to eliminate Mendicant for his crimes but he was kept alive due to his insurmountable knowledge on the flood. Offensive may return if Mendicant were to escape and go rampant again… who knows?

Yes, it would be great to see some of them returning( especially Arbiter and Half-jaw) but how can Noble 6 return? He/she is dead.

The Librarian - She is dead, her (Durance?) was last seen on Requiem, I will presume her dead.

Master Builder Faber - Died on the Greater Ark.

Cortana - Everybody has different opinions on wither she is dead or not. I think she is mostly gone.

Dave-B312 (Noble Six) - He is dead!

The Primordial - Didn’t he also die?

Sergeant Johnson - Hell yes!!

Dave-B312 (Noble Six)

Personally I think Noble Six died on Reach. But there has been many justification and speculations on to whether he actually died… To be honest a few energy daggers through a Spartan-IIIs abdomen kinda would leave him dead. But the speculations say what if Jun-A266 or even Master Chief on the Ascendant Justice when rescuing the survivors of Reach came to his rescue before he died… Personally I don’t care whether he returns or not. You can decide or vote his fate?

Precrurser/Flood Characters

The Primordial

Librarian won’t reappear in a physical form anymore.
IsoDidact could return, but he sounded quite sure it was his children that would be meeting future Humanity, he has no motive to stay.
Faber is dead.
The Primordial seen in Primordium won’t be returning, but technically we always see the Primordial in Graveminds.

Six was out in a ship-breaking yard surrounded by dozens of ships already glassing the area, as many dropships descended on his position. He lost his helmet and was stabbed multiple times by Elites. His survival is very unlikely.
Jun would have no reason to be there, and even if he was he wouldn’t be able to get six out. The Autumn was the last off-planet extraction on that continent. And the Ascendant Justice did not find Six when they pulled Halsey and a bunch of Spartans out of Castle Base.

Well now, this just raised my interests for Halo 5.

Let’s hope they don’t throw in characters for a single moment again…

The Librarian and Master Builder are dead “Spark said she’s alive”

> "You and I are brothers in many ways… not least in that we shaped the Didact before, and face him now, and perhaps ever after. This is combat eternal, enmity unslaked, unified by only one thing: our love for the elusive Lifeshaper. Without her, humans would have been extinguished many times over. Both I and the Didact lover her to this day. "Some say she is dead, that she died on Earth. But that is demonstrably untrue.
> "One of you almost certainly carries Vinnevra and Riser’s old spirits within. Only the Lifeshaper can find them and coax my friends back to life. And after 100,000 years of exploration and study… “I know where to find her.”

If the Librarian was alive why use the term “Lifeshaper”? She passed that title onto Chant to Green (sorry I can’t get a quote I don’t have my copy of Silentium on me) and it is known Chant survived the Halo Array so Chakas may of been referring to Chant not knowing the Librarian passed her rank down

Faber died when Omega Halo was destroyed by Star Roads
