Now, it was from a section about Halo Wars, but I don’t see how the Spirit of Fire would suddenly gain new aerial vehicles if it’s been drifting in space for thirty years, which makes me think this new vehicle might be appearing in a future update for Halo 5.
Also, it’s number designation of 49 would place it quite a bit further in the future and higher up the tech tree than the 22 Sparrowhawk, another reason why I think it might appear around Halo 5’s timeline. It could possibly include energy shielding.
Finally, it’s mentioned in the text/lore accompanying the Stinger armor set in Halo 5.

Even though the spirit of fire was a military craft it was filled with scientists and other engineers that could’ve easily come out of cryo and begin working on a new vehicle. And for like the 100th time, there will NOT be an aerial vehicle in Halo 5. The stinger flavour text, is just that, flavour text. Just like any other aerial helmet in the game.

You made baseless accusations before and you were wrong so why go on and make more baseless accusations and embarrass yourself even more if you’re wrong again?

No one ever does to anyone, I’m no different. But in all seriousness it’s still ridiculous that some people expect everything - Gets a small portion of it = Game/Developer is -Yoink-. Heck I’ll use the -Yoink- out of the Wasp, and most likely enjoy it. But in my eyes it’s basically a Phaeton.
EDIT: Will leave this post and not focus my attention on this update until it comes out.

Yeah, looking forward to it. I wonder what rarity it will be.
I still have 120 silver packs to go before moving on to golds so I hope it is just Rare and not Ultra rare/Legendary.

No, the basic shape is especially the same. Even the way the wings look. They remodeled it, sure, but that’s no different than things like the SPNKr and how it’s effectively the same thing but has a different model.
Don’t go expecting too much, you’ll just get disappointed.
