New Achievements with new Spartan Ops?

Will new achievements coincide with the new Spartan Ops? Anyone know if this is a thing that is true?

No, there will be no new achievements with the next half of spartan ops.

I believe there wont be any new achievements this time around.

I can’t find the source (convenient isn’t it?), but apparently achievements can only be added through paid DLC.

You know, that makes a lot of sense when you think about Microsoft. (Although I could swear that there was one game I played that added free achievements, maybe Gears 2? )

EDIT: I may have been thinking of how the patch in Borderlands added 8 free levels, and one could get the Overleveled achievement without having Knoxx, but I still feel like there was one that I played.

You were right about Gears 2. If you go to this site:

You’ll find, “DLC: Game Title Update
Cost: Free Achievements: 3 Points: 60”

I haven’t played Borderlands so I don’t know about that, but I would’ve expected 343 to announce new achievements like they did with the Crimson map pack.

We have no information about new achievements for Spartan Ops.

However, there may be new achievements in the map pack that’s scheduled to be released next month.

Well I guess Bioshock had a small dlc package that gave it one 100gs achievement. It was free.
