I got this req pack but dont know what it was awarded for. I got the legendary True Light emblem. Anybody know why it was awarded?

Sure he was a Halo community member, but I didn’t know him. So to me, he is just some dude. I don’t see any of you as my friends or “family” and I don’t expect any of you to see me that way either.
A family’s daughters were killed in a house fire. The father, who was a halo fan, managed to get attention to this and 343 permanently carved the names of his children into the constellation of the new map, torque and in the emblem.

I don’t understand why that guy was all against you. We feel sad in a way for we do for all people dying. People die every day that you don’t even know and if you hear about it it is hard to really give sympathy towards them. I feel really sorry for that guy and I’m really happy that 343 is helping them and doing this for them. But you shouldn’t be getting angry at someone if he just says some dude.
It really is spectacular what 343 is doing and I respect them so much more now.

I do admit that it didn’t sounds sympathetic but I mean atleast he didn’t actually say “Lolz”.

If you chose to interpret my original post that way, then that’s on you. I gave OP a summary of why 343 made the emblem. I don’t personally know the guy, so to me he is just some dude.
What’s sad is that the only time anyone wants to be nice is when a tragedy happens. Otherwise all of you just throw constant hate back and forth all day everyday.

I agree with what this guy is saying. Tragedy is the only thing that will bring people together but if people don’t show 100% sympathy then they are the enemy. I don’t know why you even “attacked” this guy. And to be clear I’m supporting mang.

It’s hard to show respect when most of my experience with the community has been rather negative. :C
And I may be a horrible person. Whenever I see someone died, I just feel really bitter for some reason. i can’t explain why. I want to be a good person, someone who’s empathetic. But yet I just can’t. I’m not sure what matters more. What I actually am, or what I try to be. From the news, to stuff like this, I just feel really bitter whenever someone’s death is mentioned.

That is true about the constant hate… I often myself avoiding the forums because everyone is throwing shade at each other. My thoughts are with the family though, and i’ll definitely sport the emblem for a time.
Enough -Yoink-. There was a tragedy with a Halo fan’s family and the 343 community decided to pay respect. If you don’t want the emblem then don’t use it. Move the -Yoink- on.
I personally think it is an amazing gesture and one that proves how deep the Halo community runs.
