absolutely. If you are good enough with the sticks to not need the built in aimbot or want to tone it down so you can actually shoot at the guy you want to shoot out instead of the game trying to take control and make you shoot at something else I can’t see why they can’t have an adjustment the same as they do for sensitivity.
But I can tell you right now its never going to happen, they can’t even give us custom mappable buttons or add in-game ranking so not a chance in hell they will give us this.
I would like it just not to jump around if an enemy walks behind another enemy. I’ve lost many a battledue to that.

LOL…After a few thousand games I finally know what this auto assist actually is.
I hate that too when you are shooting at one person and there are then two or three others running about very near that person and the stupid rectile decides to leave the head of the person your shooting at and follow someone else’s head and thus ending up losing the kill you should have had and wasted bullets in the process.
Actually the Xbox it self supports this in the Dashboard settings over at Profile and Game Defaults. You can select auto-aim on/off, auto-center on/off etc
You CAN turn off aim assist…

I’ve always had the auto-centre turned off.
Goes off to find the option to turn off auto-aim
More of a work-around.
when most guys scream “turn this **** off” they really mean turn it down as in not to target the wrong thing constantly.
Auto-aim is needed to varying degrees but 343 just went OTT so our current option is to completly shut it down or live with it.
And turning it off on the daskboard also affects other games which may be okay.
Aim assist should stay!
It’s bullet magnetism that is the main problem.
Bullet magnatism does not cause your reticle to track the wrong target. And yes BM needs a reduction as well but for different reasons.

I play Battlefield 3 with no aim assist, and I absolutely love not being spoonfed.
My aim is being hindered by aim assist, in Halo 4 I can’t aim properly most of the time. I have to constantly correct my aim just because I’m not used to such high levels of aim assist.
I agree. An option would be nice for customs and it NEEDS lowering in matchmaking but it cannot be off all the time. Consoles, well, controllers are far less accurate than a mouse and need some aim assist. It would be extremely hard to stay on target using a controller if there was no aim assist at all.
Bullet Mag however I do not support what so ever.
-Yoink- grunts dragging around my reticle, that sniper bullet wasn’t for you!
Care to explain Bullet Mag for me?
> Care to explain Bullet Mag for me?
Bullet Magnetism or “Mag” is when your sight isn’t actually on the target but the bullets will still register hits. In halo 4, if your DMR reticule is completely off the enemy, even when the sight has changed from red to blue, at a certain distance the bullets will still hit the person.
It looks almost like the person is a magnet and the shots attract to them. I believe every halo has some mag on certain guns more so than others but it is very noticeable in H4.
It makes it very hard to strafe shots in the end. Since even if you side-step the shot, the bullet mag will most likely register hits regardless.

Alright, food for thought, don’t compare Halo to Battlefield.
Aim assist is fine (it may not be preferably to some) but without bullet magnetism things such as skill will actually be present in the game again, especially with the DMR.
B4 the “DMR would still take no skill”
Think about this, the DMR has a pretty large cursor with a small one in the center. The small one really has little to no effect on the bullet because bullet magnetism only requires you to have any part of the cursor touching the hit box to score a “hit.”(spamming at all distances would be no different then pacing the shot)
Now I know that once the first shot fired retains the full effect of magnetism, but once the 2nd, 3rd ,etc shot is fired then BM will only count for the small cursor because it becomes larger. If it is touching you then you are still going to hit the target no matter what. (spamming at all distances would be no different then pacing the shot)
But without BM then you are required to have the small cursor aimed at the target the entire time with a paced shot at mid-long distances if you want to score a “hit” on the target. (spamming the weapon will be a serious factor in shots missed over shots paced)
I would add other weapons as examples as to why BM being turned off over AA is because the DMR is currently a “hot” topic atm.

> You CAN turn off aim assist…
No, you can’t.
Aim assist is required for players who use controllers, as it is far too difficult to hit targets without it (due to the poor accuracy of analogue sticks). I however, am not one of those people… so this does not apply to me.
