Always the fresh faces on waypoint with a lot to say.
Infinite’s lack of maps, gametypes, and options are what really bother me the most. If it launched with a full forge mode, extensive game options, and a custom game browser, I would have actually paid good money for it.
As it stands now, I have not given one cent to Infinite. And I don’t think I ever will. Is this the progression of gaming?
Only thing I just wished is if the same handful of topics wouldn’t just get regurgitated over and over again and something actually interesting, fresh and new would surface on these boards. It’s just rather tiresome over all seeing it over and over again.
But I guess no one can come up with anything actually interesting here so it’s to be expected. Just not enough to work with I guess.
No, I don’t think I will
343 is a terrible company lol no halo fan is gonna like whatever they put out unless it’s good, stop acting surprised.
I think there is two main points.
Players are happy that we are getting this content.
But those players are unhappy by the fact the game released without them.
Im sure everyone appreciates the things coming in this post, at least we know that they are coming. But thats not saying we completely forget that they werent there at launch. Its not a black and white situation. Players arent either halo infinite sucks or halo infinite is game of the year.
Its not the responsibility of the fans to have lowered their expectations to the point where playing catch up deserves praise. And being given the ‘blessed opportunity’ to make more purchases for them is not something we need to say thank you for.
I pray to the lords above you don’t work in the service industry because it’s inexcusable to promise service but take twice as long as your competitors to provide the said service.
It’s not the fault of fans when they didn’t ask for Halo to transition to a live service & fail to provide most of the things a live service product requires
They set the expectations, not me.
You are exactly the kind of customer they want, congrats.
It only becomes a live service if it is an actively planned service for the future, by your logic The Force Unleashed 1 is a live service just for receiving dlc costume packs.
I don’t know…is it really to much to ask to have full and functional games at launch, like we had on the Xbox 360. Why is it on Xbox one, supposed to be the most powerful console, do we have buggy incomplete games at launch? And this isn’t necessarily just a 343 problem. But anyways why do we have to wait for stuff like co op, the ability to even replay levels without having to restart an entire new game in campaign? Then in multiplayer just the few basic playlist with maps that are really aren’t that impressive. The quality of games has really dropped when our consoles has supposedly gotten better. The only game to really wow me on Xbox one has been RDR2, well I suppose GTA5 was pretty good as well. Infinite campaign was ok, but not being able to even repeat missions is just terrible. To me 343 and any studio really that gives the “next gen game” and it has even less features than the previous game deserves the criticism or even hate I suppose. Years ago when a game launched you bought it and where like wow this is awesome… Now you are practically better off waiting a couple months after launch for the game to be patched and fixed before playing. It’s pretty clear they should have delayed infinite another year. Yeah we should have patience for them to fix stuff and what not…but they shouldn’t push out unfinished games either.
Whatever your viewpoint is, it’s way too narrow. If there’s this much complaining, generally it’s a sign that things are wrong, and people aren’t complaining for the sake of it. They had a break for many years. You might as well apply this same argument to Battlefield 2042, since everything that’s applicable here, is applicable there.
Please take a look at logistics and the actual problems before you say “They get constantly moaned at”. Then decide if the complaints are just because “theres always one un- happy fan”.
News flash, it doesn’t matter what game it is there will always be players unhappy, so stop trying to pretend 343 is “special”.
It’s funny how players say give them a brake but refuse to look at reality here. We’re paying full price for game that is being treated as if it’s 2001. No more brakes, no more BS excuse, no more “poor 343”. I’m so tired of enablers because they are one of the worst type of people in this entire world.
I wouldn’t worry too much. This place has a very small number of posters and it feels like an echo chamber of negativity most times (which is probably why 343 don’t even post here).
If you look at the Halo twitter account their posts get thousands of likes, I just don’t think many people use these forums.
I’m pretty sure they’re also making thousands from the in-game store so there’s got to be a lot of players out there happy with things to keep on spending.
I used to think like you too. The fanbase needs something to cry about. Problem is there’s some legit downfalls/concerns with the game right now. And 343 is hush quiet
Cos the update outlines that the bare minimum amount of content is being released again, and not for another 2 months.
If I go to a Five Star restaurant and you give me a Peanut Butter Sandwich, you’re damn right I’m gonna complain.
That’s all I have to say
shut up, the game is terrible right now
Lol 343 say nothing about ranked. I decline to play the game until they make 3-4 differents ranked playlist minimum… they make playlist so wrong
