Now this really frustrates me, I can empty several clips of a rocket launcher, to sitting there for 5 minutes with an smg, emptying all of my ammo. When the boss dies, I always simply get “Teammates took down a boss”, instead of getting any credit whatsoever. I’m only doing this mode to get the commendations done, but between there not being enough covenant, (Grunts, jackels, etc.), and never getting credit for anything, the commendations will take a minimum of 10 days played. This is insane, considering the low amount of things you have to do for them.
I know there is a system in place for assists, I can hit a tank with one mag of a pistol and get “Scorpion assist”, I just don’t understand why I don’t get credit for bosses, when clearly, there’s a way to track even the smallest of efforts.
It has to be the final amount of damage dealt to the boss that earns you the take down but I agree with you. If me and my team mates are all hammering the boss and we manage to take it down we should all be rewarded with a commendation not just the person who manages to snipe the kill from everyone else.

I’ve seen up to five players get a “Boss take down”, for the same boss. I just don’t understand it, it’s all random and buggy. It’s tough to start a match, with only one on your team with a boss take down, and five on the other team for the same single boss.

I’ve nearly 2 days played in Warzone and I think only one Legendary take down, I always take out a tank for it, or a power weapon.

More likely than not, you and your team will deal the majority of damage to an enemy boss and yet your commitment will be worthless if an enemy gets lucky with the last shot. The game should reward points proportionate to amount of damage dealt from each team with a bonus awarded to whoever gets the last shot.

And then even if your team get’s the kill, you don’t get credited with an assist, lmao.

I always just assumed it was that way since I never got credit for shooting at bosses, I guess I need to play some more warzone haha

Again, who cares? It is Warzone. Warzone is supposed to be fun and unpredictable. I love the idea that an enemy can camp in the bushes and take that final shot. It simply means you need to pay better attention to your surroundings and deal with the boss quickly and efficiently. Whomever gets the credit in the end matters not as long as the team gets the kill. If an enemy sneaks in, well that is on you for not paying attention.

If you did a significant amount, as a result of the way the system is now, I don’t attack it a single time until it’s at about 30%, that makes for very bad gameplay. Every shot should matter against bosses, but it doesn’t. Even when your team controls it, there’s simply no point, waiting for that final shot is the only way whether your team controls it, or not.
One game, i found a boss and i shot it the whole time except for the beginning, somebody shot it with a pistol once then died and then when i killed it, it said “Teammates get the kill” and i look at the headboard thing and it says Boss Takedowns: 0. And i kept shooting 5 other bosses and all of them didn’t count for me.
this really frustrates me, I can empty several clips of anything, for 5 min emptying all of my ammo. When the boss dies, I always get “Teammates took down a boss”, instead of getting any credit please fix this problem
