Am I the only one that almost never changes their appearance? Where you cannot make any changes while searching then I can never be bothered. Remember the good ol’ days when you could change things up between matches?
Why is this silly restriction on place? At least let us make changes, even if they don’t take effect until the following match.
Wouldn’t it be great if we could automatically equip things as you unlock them, from the unlock screen?
Why can we not preview the weekly reward, or any unlock really, on our current customization? Clicking on the reward just shoves an annoying text message in your face. Don’t make me go searching through the customization menus for waldo; show me the reward, not some lame color wheel that doesn’t actually tell me how it will look on my armor/weapon/vehicle.
I wish we could change appearance whilst waiting. I don’t like that it eats into my XP booster time trying out newly acquired items.
It would be nice to be able to properly preview items in battle pass or shop. It should have zoom and rotate controls. Instead of using the default skin it should show with your existing customisation where possible.
All things that should be features but likely cut for or unfinished due to the mismanagement of the project from on high.

Indie devs have more feature complete lobbies.
The issues with this game is astonishing. They had so many things that they didnt need to change (vehicles, certain guns, etc) and it’s like they just went backwards. Halo is my favorite game and 343 just butchered it in my opinion. I have played since i was 11 (now 30), and I can honestly say this is the worst halo
You aren’t in any public matchmaking lobby pre or post match and host always hast to manually reinitiate the search. Just change your armor before you start looking for a match again.
That’s what usually happens when a payed game goes Free to play, F2P usually turns into the devs Watering down the game and removing as much features as possible, than slowly re implementing them. Remember the main motivation for the game is to keep players purchasing things, that’s why they took 50 of the 60 default colors we had in Halo 5 and paywalled them.
The core system itself was designed around the concept of re selling players the same color , aka Scarlet Wake Scarlet empress, scarlet skies. All the same red but sold in seperate bundles.
Even if we got a ton of stuff free, and the store was reasonably priced and perfectly set-up with a catalog, I still wouldn’t bother much with customization. I play games to play them, if I stop playing to play dress up then why am I playing?
Let me play dress up while searching for a match.
