I know that the Kinsano Jackrabbit rush is especially broken, but a nerf to hardline should fix that easily. Jackrabbits will still be broken after that fix so there needs to be something done. Unfortunately changing the price of Jackrabbits just changes them from overpowered to unplayable. I am afraid by just messing with the numbers we are just going to change what is overpowered early on. We will just get a cycle of marines, ghosts, choppers, and grunts being the go-to early unit.
I think there are just way too many open bases in Halo Wars 2. What if we introduced neutral bases and neutral minions guarding free base slots. Make the neutral minions vulnerable to infantry but very strong against vehicles. This will add some benefit from not going early scout units and a whole layer of depth when it comes to game management and base taking. Of course, this would have to be optimized for each map etc. So I am not sure this option is even possible but would be great.
Taking away Jackrabbit self-heal and ability to target in 360 degrees would be welcome nerfs for the jackrabbit as well.

I think that’s a good idea. Bring back some things that made wars 1 great
Completely agree on the neutral guarded bases. Even rubble or boulders just like in Starcraft II would be a great addition to the game.
