Network unavailable for online play... again.

For the second time in two weeks I am unable to connect to the Halo MCC network despite the fact that everything else with my internet connection, Steam and any offline game modes all still work. This seems to be an issue with the servers. I am located in NY and usually connect to one of the US East servers. My two friends I play with also live here, about 15-30 minutes away and neither have had this issue at any point. How can this be resolved so I am not arbitrarily locked out of playing online multiplayer games? Any advice or tips here would be appreciated, thank you.

I would suggest (Assuming Steam still uses XBL for MP) Check the ports: https://support.xbox.com/help/Hardware-Network/connect-network/network-ports-used-xbox-live

What is the full error message that you get and when does it appear?

Thank you. I am on PC so I assume the same theory applies. It doesn’t allow me to do anything as where it usually says “season 1” it is now “offline”. Under network in the settings it just says “unavailable” instead of pinging the servers around the world. I’m going to open a help ticket because it happened again last night and I am about to ask for a refund. Thanks for your help.
